Week In Review: 12/3/12 - 12/9/12

• The Hornets have announced that they intend to file the paperwork to change their name to the Pelicans.
• The Lakers' recent drama continued, with Steve Nash saying that he requested the team keep Pau Gasol before he signed. 
• Rockets coach Kevin McHale returned to the team after taking some time off to be with his ill daughter, who passed away recently.
• Gov. Bob McDonnell of Virginia does not intend to fund a new NBA arena for the city of Virginia Beach, which was hoping to lure the Kings from Sacramento.
• Kevin Martin, traded to the Thunder in the James Harden deal, says he is happy in Okahoma City and would like to re-sign.
• Andray Blatche hopes to re-sign with the Nets.
• Veteran guard Mike Bibby is seeking a return to the NBA.
• Eddie House would also like to return to the NBA.
• The Kings are open to the possibility of trading some of their young players.
• Sixers coach Doug Collins also hinted that he would like the team to make a trade.
• Heat forward Mike Miller announced that he is planning to play two more seasons before considering retirement.
• Several players with NBA ties, including former Blazers and Nets guard Armon Johnson, signed deals to play with teams in other countries.
