<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/paulch01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Chris Paul</a></strong> prefers to re-sign with the <strong>Clippers</strong> this summer, but he wants them to hire an African American as coach, Lawrence hears, suggesting <strong><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mcmilna01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Nate McMillan</a></strong></strong> for the job that&#0160;<strong><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/delnevi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Vinny Del Negro</a></strong> </strong>still holds.</li>
<li>If <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/adelmri01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Rick Adelman</a></strong> steps down as <strong>Timberwolves</strong> coach, newly installed president of basketball operations <strong>Flip Saunders</strong> would come down to the bench to replace him.</li>
<li><strong>Spurs</strong> assistant <strong>Mike Budenholzer</strong> probably won&#39;t be taking another team&#39;s head coaching job this summer because San Antonio has already anointed him as <strong>Gregg Popovich</strong>&#39;s successor, according to Lawrence. When <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/duncati01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Tim Duncan</a></strong> retires, Popovich will, too, leaving the coaching duties to Budenholzer.</li>
<li>There are members of the <strong>Grizzlies</strong> organization who still aren&#39;t sold on the <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gayru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Rudy Gay</a></strong> deal, and they believe the team would have more easily overcome the <strong>Clippers</strong> in the first round if Gay were still in Memphis.</li>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>Grizzlies coach <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hollili01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Lionel Hollins</a></strong> was <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/hollins-confident-his-fate-isnt-tied-to-playoffs.html" target="_blank">confident</a> heading into the playoffs that the team would bring him back for next season. Ironically, he became even more sure of keeping his job after the team went down 0-2 to the Clippers in the first round. That&#39;s when Hollins says Grizzlies management told him that they wanted him back as coach, reports <a href="http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2013/story/_/id/9263020/2013-nba-playoffs-lionel-hollins-optimistic-return-coach-memphis-grizzlies" target="_blank">Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLosAngeles.com</a>.&#0160;</p>
<p><em>&quot;The only conversations we&#39;ve had is they said they wanted me back,&quot;</em> Hollins said. <em>&quot;After we lost the first two games to the Clippers, we had a friendly conversation about the series and how they just wanted me personally to know that regardless of what&#39;s being said out there, this is how they felt.&quot;</em></p>
<p>Hollins is in the final year of his contract, and could be one of the most sought-after coaching free agents this summer. The Sixers have reportedly been <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/05/sixers-to-interview-michael-malone-jeff-hornacek.html" target="_blank">keeping an eye</a>&#0160;on his status in Memphis, and he&#39;s been <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/05/odds-ends-thompson-ellis-hollins-turkoglu.html" target="_blank">linked to the Nets</a> as well. Hollins nonetheless says &quot;there&#39;s no question&quot; he&#39;d prefer to remain with the Grizzlies.</p>
<p>The Grizzlies won the next four games to oust the Clippers after Hollins and the front office brass spoke, and as Memphis sits tied 1-1 with the Thunder in the second round, I&#39;d be surprised to see Hollins go no matter what happens in the rest of the playoffs. The coach <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/02/western-notes-howard-grizzlies-roy-kings.html" target="_blank">criticized</a> the <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gayru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Rudy Gay</a></strong> trade soon after it occurred, but softened his stance later, calling his comments <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/02/southwest-rumors-white-hollins-ingles.html" target="_blank">an emotional reaction</a>&#0160;to the swap.&#0160;</p></div>

Here are a few more Tuesday odds and ends from around the NBA:</p>
<ul>
<li>As he tells <a href="http://bostonherald.com/sports/celtics_nba/boston_celtics/2013/05/ainge_takes_time_on_future" target="_blank">Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald</a>, <strong>Celtics</strong> president <strong>Danny Ainge</strong> hasn&#39;t sat down with <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/garneke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Kevin Garnett</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/piercpa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Paul Pierce</a></strong>, and <strong>Doc Rivers</strong> yet to talk about their respective futures. <em>&quot;I don’t really pay much attention to what anybody says in the first week after the season,&quot;</em> said Ainge, referring to comments made by the Celtics leaders immediately after last week&#39;s elimination.</li>
<li>Likely lottery pick <strong>Anthony Bennett</strong> will undergo rotator cuff surgery on his left shoulder tomorrow, agent Jeff Schwartz tells <a href="http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2013/story/_/id/9251146/2013-nba-draft-anthony-bennett-surgery-agent-says" target="_blank">ESPN.com&#39;s Chad Ford</a>. Bennett, who will miss about four months, becomes the third top prospect that will miss the summer with an injury, along with <strong>Nerlens Noel</strong> and <strong>Alex Len</strong>. However, two GMs who spoke to Ford don&#39;t think the procedure will affect Bennett&#39;s draft stock.</li>
<li><strong>Pacers</strong> president <strong>Donnie Walsh</strong> told <a href="http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/walsh_not_certain_of_future_Gjc8a4PfzepVeqOWNcYP5H" target="_blank">Marc Berman of the New York Post</a> that he&#39;s unsure whether he&#39;ll remain in his current role next season. According to Berman, Walsh still believes there&#39;s a chance <strong>Larry Bird</strong> will unretire and assume his old position for the Pacers.</li>
<li><a href="http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4696005/how-mavs-can-add-a-max-player-and-keep-vet-core" target="_blank">Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com</a> examines the ways in which the <strong>Mavericks</strong> could add a maximum-salary free agent without breaking up their veteran core.</li>
<li>With the <strong>Thunder</strong> and <strong>Grizzlies</strong> squaring off in the Western Conference Semifinals, <a href="http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/46786324/" target="_blank">Shaun Powell of Sports on Earth</a> wonders if either team will end up regretting its blockbuster trade -- <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">James Harden</a></strong> for the Thunder and <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gayru01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Rudy Gay</a></strong> for the Grizz.</li>

As Finnan notes, Allen would likely shore up Cleveland&#39;s defense, which allowed 106.9 points per 100 possessions, tied for fourth worst in the league.&#0160;&#0160;Owner Dan Gilbert alluded to new coach <strong><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/brownmi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Mike Brown</a></strong></strong>&#39;s &quot;much-needed defensive-first philosophy&quot; when Brown was <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/cavaliers-name-mike-brown-head-coach.html" target="_blank">hired</a> last month.</p>
<p>Allen, named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team last season, is the main perimeter stopper for the Grizzles, who allowed the second fewest points per 100 possessions in the league this year. He has expressed a desire to remain with Memphis, and earlier this season, he&#0160;<a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/02/southwest-notes-white-asik-grizzlies.html" target="_blank">brought up</a> a conversation he had with <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/randoza01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Zach Randolph</a></strong> about staying with the Grizzlies until they both retire. Still, Allen isn&#39;t unwilling to test free agency, telling <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/02/odds-ends-josh-smith-suns-mavs-tony-allen.html" target="_blank">Shaun Powell of Sports on Earth</a> in February that, <em>&quot;I&#39;d like to stay but whatever happens I&#39;m cool with it.&quot;</em></p>
<p>Allen struggles with his shot, as Finnan points out, and this year he made just 12.5% of his three-point attempts. Despite 44.5% shooting from the field overall this season, he&#39;s made 47.5% of his career field goal attempts, displaying an ability to maximize his offensive strengths. Allen is making $3.3MM this season, but an unnamed Eastern Conference general manager told <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/03/western-notes-tony-allen-clips-lakers-harris.html" target="_blank">Chris Mannix of SI.com</a> in March that he believes the 31-year-old is in for a slight raise, with a three-year contract at $4MM annually.</p>
<p>The Grizzlies created financial flexibility with a <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/01/grizzlies-raptors-pistons-agree-on-rudy-gay-deal.html" target="_blank">pair</a> of <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/01/grizzlies-cavs-talking-marreese-speights-others.html" target="_blank">trades</a> this season, but accommodating that sort of contract for Allen this summer would once more make it difficult for the team to maneuver, as our <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/free-agent-stock-watch-tony-allen.html" target="_blank">Luke Adams detailed last month</a>. Adams believes Allen will come back to Memphis, perhaps at a slight discount, but the Cavs, with ample cap space this summer, could make that decision difficult with an above-market offer. I wouldn&#39;t be surprised to see Cleveland GM <strong>Chris Grant</strong> try to overpay for a player who fits the team&#39;s renewed commitment to defense.</p></div>

Collins, who hopes to continue his playing career, will be a free agent this summer, looking for a contract from a team in need of frontcourt help. In his <a href="http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-am-the-playoff-free-agent-power-forwards" target="_blank">latest piece for HoopsWorld</a>, Steve Kyler looked at a few other big men facing free agency, exploring what their respective futures might hold. Let&#39;s check out the highlights....</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/blatcan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Andray Blatche</a></strong> is still being paid by the <strong>Wizards</strong> through next season, so he won&#39;t necessarily be seeking the highest salary offered this summer. However, if he can secure a multiyear deal, he may lean toward that opportunity, says Kyler.</li>
<li>Although he&#39;s eligible for restricted free agency, <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/dayeau01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Austin Daye</a></strong> is unlikely to receive a qualifying offer from the <strong>Grizzlies</strong>. Kyler doesn&#39;t expect the ex-<strong>Piston</strong> to be back in Memphis next season.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/l/landrca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Carl Landry</a></strong> remains likely to opt out of his last year with the <strong>Warriors</strong> in search of a longer-term contract.</li>
<li>The <strong>Pacers</strong> won&#39;t hold full Bird rights on <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/westda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">David West</a></strong>, but West&#39;s Early Bird rights will be more than enough to make him a competitive offer. Kyler thinks West and the Pacers are likely to work out a deal fairly quickly that will keep the power forward in Indiana.</li>
<li>Kyler notes that trading <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/grangda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Danny Granger</a></strong> would help give the <strong>Pacers</strong> the flexibility to bring back both West and <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hansbty01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Tyler Hansbrough</a></strong>, who is eligible for restricted free agency. Kyler expects the Pacers to issue a qualifying offer to Hansbrough and match any reasonable offer.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamisan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Antawn Jamison</a></strong> is unlikely to re-sign with the <strong>Lakers</strong>, and if <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/clarkea01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Earl Clark</a></strong> returns, it will have to be for not much more than the $1.24MM he made this year, says Kyler.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/diawbo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Boris Diaw</a></strong>, who has a player option, and <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bonnema01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Matt Bonner</a></strong>, whose deal is only partially guaranteed, both figure to be back with the <strong>Spurs</strong> next season. However, Kyler says <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/blairde01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">DeJuan Blair</a></strong> is &quot;done in San Antonio,&quot; which echoes what we <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/blair-says-hell-be-better-off-leaving-spurs.html" target="_blank">heard yesterday</a>.</li>

An agent told Lowe that the Brown/Cavs pairing could spur movement in the rest of the coaching market. Lowe has plenty more on coaches who could be coming or going, and takes a closer look at the <strong>Bobcats</strong> and Cavs in his latest column. We&#39;ll pass along the highlights here, along with news from other NBA scribes:</p>
<ul>
<li>The <strong>Grizzlies</strong> are more likely than not to retain <strong>Lionel Hollins</strong>, though that could change if the <strong>Clippers</strong> sweep them in the first round.</li>
<li><strong>Hawks</strong> GM<strong> Danny Ferry</strong> may turn to <strong>Quin Snyder</strong> if he decides to let go of <strong>Larry Drew</strong>, now that Brown, his preferred target, is no longer available.</li>
<li><strong>Alex Jensen</strong>, this season&#39;s D-League Coach of the Year, could be on an NBA bench as soon as next season, and earns consistent mention among defensively minded coaches on the rise.</li>
<li>The final season of Brown&#39;s five-year deal with the <strong>Cavs</strong> is partially guaranteed, as&#0160;<a href="http://hoopshype.com/columns/rosen/mike-brown-redux" target="_blank">Charley Rosen notes for HoopsHype</a>. Brown can take the Cavs to &quot;the outer fringes of respectability&quot; at best, Rosen opines.</li>
<li><strong>Alvin Gentry</strong>, who was let go by the&#0160;<strong>Suns</strong>&#0160;earlier this season, has the resume, the presence, and the local ties necessary to make him a candidate for the <strong>Bobcats</strong>&#39; coaching opening, <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/326925425626451968" target="_blank">tweets</a> ESPN.com&#39;s Marc Stein.&#0160;</li>
<li><strong>Bobcats</strong> assistant coach <strong>Stephen Silas</strong> has shown a knack for player development and, despite his team&#39;s struggles, is considered a strong candidate for head coaching jobs, according to&#0160;Chris Mannix of SI.com (<a href="https://twitter.com/ChrisMannixSI/status/327190562996375552" target="_blank">Twitter link</a>).</li>
<li><a href="http://fanmonster.com/?p=5839" target="_blank">Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio</a>&#0160;has the latest on Brown&#39;s effort to build his staff with the Cavs, reporting that former <strong>Pistons</strong> head coach <strong>John Kuester</strong> is expected to join Brown in Cleveland.</li>
<li>Brown isn&#39;t short on coaching acumen, but his success with the<strong> Cavs</strong> will ultimately come down to whether the team can give him a roster that&#39;s talented enough to win, <a href="http://www.foxsportsohio.com/nba/cleveland-cavaliers/story/Cavs-happy-to-bring-back-their-former-co?blockID=895733&amp;feedID=3561" target="_blank">Pat McManamon of Fox Sports Ohio believes</a>.</li>

<div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p>In his NBA AM piece for HoopsWorld on Monday, <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/kyler-on-paul-teague-jack-billups-bledsoe.html" target="_blank">Steve Kyler explored</a> the upcoming free agencies for a number of point guards on playoff teams. Today, <a href="http://www.hoopsworld.com/nba-am-the-playoff-free-agent-shooting-guards" target="_blank">Kyler turns his attention</a> to the shooting guards in the postseason who could be hitting the free agent market this summer. Let&#39;s round up the notable tidbits from his piece....</p>
<ul>
<li>The <strong>Hawks</strong> could have interest in retaining <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/k/korveky01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Kyle Korver</a></strong>, but he also won&#39;t be the team&#39;s top priority, so Korver could accept a multiyear offer from a rival suitor before Atlanta is ready to finalize anything with him. I touched on this when I <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/03/free-agent-stock-watch-kyle-korver.html" target="_blank">examined Korver&#39;s free agent stock</a> last month.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/belinma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Marco Belinelli</a></strong> may not be back in Chicago next season, since the <strong>Bulls</strong> will be looking to upgrade the two-guard spot, according to Kyler.</li>
<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/allento01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Tony Allen</a></strong> has good relationships with <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/randoza01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Zach Randolph</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hollili01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Lionel Hollins</a></strong>, which could be a factor if he&#39;s deciding whether or not to re-sign with the <strong>Grizzlies</strong>. However, he&#39;d want to know whether Randolph or Hollins are part of the front office&#39;s long-term plan in Memphis, says Kyler.</li>
<li>Kyler suggests that <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/stephla01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Lance Stephenson</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/greenwi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Willie Green</a></strong>, who have non-guaranteed contracts with the <strong>Pacers</strong> and <strong>Clippers</strong> respectively, could make for interesting trade chips if their teams decided to pair them with another asset.</li>
<li>One of the <strong>Bucks</strong>&#39; reasons for acquiring <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/r/redicjj01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">J.J. Redick</a></strong> at the trade deadline was to give the team insurance in free agency, so that the team can still retain two starting guards if one of <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jennibr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Brandon Jennings</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/e/ellismo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Monta Ellis</a></strong>, or Redick receives an offer Milwaukee doesn&#39;t want to match.</li>

An official announcement will likely come later this week.</p>
<p>Award season started for the NBA today, when <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/smithjr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">J.R. Smith</a></strong> was <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/jr-smith-to-be-named-sixth-man-of-the-year.html" target="_blank">officially named</a> the Sixth Man of the Year. The Defensive Player of the Year field was considered fairly wide open, with a number of deserving candidates based on both traditional and more advanced statistics. When I asked <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/poll-defensive-player-of-the-year.html" target="_blank">earlier this month</a> who deserved the award, Gasol received fewer votes than <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/sandela01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Larry Sanders</a></strong>, <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/n/noahjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Joakim Noah</a></strong>, and <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/i/ibakase01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Serge Ibaka</a></strong>.</p>
<p>Gasol, who averaged 7.8 RPG, 1.7 BPG, and 1.0 SPG this season for the Grizzlies, didn&#39;t have exceptional traditional stats. However, he anchored a Memphis defense that ranked second in the NBA in points per 100 possessions (97.4), and the team&#39;s defensive numbers were noticeably better when he was on the court.</p></div>

<li><strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/paulch01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Chris  Paul</a></strong> is essentially a lock to re-sign with the <strong>Clippers</strong> and he&#39;ll have a &quot;tremendous amount of input&quot; in the team&#39;s roster moves and overall direction.</li>
<li>The <strong>Hawks</strong> will extend a qualifying offer to <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/teaguje01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Jeff Teague</a></strong>, and while the club plans to keep its options open, it&#39;s unlikely that Teague will end up leaving Atlanta.</li>

<li>There&#39;s mutual interest in a new deal between <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jackja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Jarrett Jack</a></strong> and the <strong>Warriors</strong>, and the team will have Jack&#39;s Bird Rights, but the Warriors figure to be well into the tax unless they can make a cost-cutting move or two, which could complicate negotiations.</li>
<li>If <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/billuch01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Chauncey Billups</a></strong> doesn&#39;t return to the <strong>Clippers</strong>, retirement is more likely for him than signing with another club.</li>
<li>The <strong>Bucks</strong> will definitely match almost any offer sheet signed by <strong><a href="http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jennibr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-www.typepad.com" target="_blank">Brandon Jennings</a></strong>, though if he receives the max from a rival suitor, Milwaukee will &quot;have to seriously look at that.&quot;</li>
<li>While Bledsoe is expected to be an offseason trade candidate, <strong>Clippers</strong> sources are adamant that they don&#39;t need to make a decision on Bledsoe until the summer of 2014, or at least next year&#39;s trade deadline.</li>
<li>With a handful of head coaching jobs already opened up, Jackson&#39;s name will pop up frequently in the next several weeks, but Kyler hears that the odds of the 11-time champion accepting a coaching job aren&#39;t great.</li>

<p>Greene, 25, had been <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2012/08/nets-agree-to-sign-donte-greene.html" target="_blank">set to sign with the Nets</a> last August before a fractured ankle sidelined him for several months, voiding his agreement with Brooklyn. Upon getting healthy, he reportedly <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/01/donte-greene-drawing-interest.html" target="_blank">drew NBA interest</a>, but failed to land a contract. Last we heard, Greene was preparing to join a team in Puerto Rico <a href="http://www.hoopsrumors.com/2013/04/odds-ends-wizards-pistons-greene-kings.html" target="_blank">earlier this month</a>.</p>
<p>Like Reed&#39;s deal with the Grizzlies, Greene&#39;s contract is expected to include a non-guaranteed option for 2013/14, according to Tillery (<a href="https://twitter.com/CAGrizBlog/status/324210166478274561" target="_blank">Twitter link</a>). That makes sense, since I would guess the club is getting a headstart on its Summer League squad and training camp roster for next season, rather than expecting Reed and Greene to play a role in this spring&#39;s playoff run.</p>
<p>Having waived Pittman, the Grizzlies won&#39;t need to make any further roster moves to clear room. Adding both Reed and Greene would give the team the maximum 15 players.</p></div>
