Joey Graham

International Notes: Hudson, Mensah-Bonsu, Graham

The Knicks are ensuring that the last day of the NBA regular season features at least a couple roster moves, but there's also plenty of roster activity going on in other professional leagues around the world. Here's the latest:

  • Emiliano Carchia of Sportando passes along a report suggesting that Spain's Unicaja Malaga is targeting Lester Hudson, who played for the Cavs and Grizzlies last season before averaging 27.8 PPG this year in China.
  • Carchia also reports that former NBA forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu will join Italian team Olimpia Milano. Mensah-Bonsu had initially been set to join Italy's Cimberio Varese, but decided to accept a better offer from Milano, according to Carchia.
  • Joey Graham parted ways with one Puerto Rican team earlier this week, but Luis Modestti reports (via Twitter) that the Raptors' 2005 first-round pick will continue his career with another club in Puerto Rico, signing with Mets de Guaynabo (English link via Sportando).

Joey Graham Worked Out For Timberwolves

The Timberwolves' search for a wing player has them looking at a former first-round pick that hasn't played an NBA game since the 2010/11 season. According to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune, the Wolves had Joey Graham in for a workout on Wednesday, as well as James Anderson, who has since agreed to rejoin the D-League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

We had previously heard that Anderson would be coming in to work out for the club, but Graham's name is a new one. Minnesota has also worked out Lazar Hayward within the last week and may still have interest in French forward Mickael Gelabale, as the team looks to replace Josh Howard, who was released after suffering an ACL injury. A move isn't expected until the new year.

Graham, who was drafted 16th overall by the Raptors in 2005, spent six NBA seasons in Toronto, Denver, and Cleveland, before playing in the D-League and overseas following the lockout. For his career, he has averaged 5.9 PPG and 2.8 RPG with a .483 FG% in 377 contests (16.2 MPG).

International Moves: Graham, Barron

We'll track today's notable international transactions here:

  • Puerto Rican team Mets de Guaynabo has officially signed Joey Graham, the team announced via Twitter (hat tip to Sportando). The six-year NBA veteran had joined the D-League in March in hopes of returning to the Association.
  • Puerto Rico's Atleticos de San German has parted ways with Earl Barron, replacing him with Willie Warren, according to Sportando. Barron, who was released by the Warriors in February, just signed with the Puerto Rican club last week.

Minor Moves: Graham, Harrison, Henry

We'll track the latest notable international and D-League-related signings right here:

  • Joey Graham, a former 16th overall pick, has joined the D-League's Erie BayHawks, tweets Duane Rankin of the Erie Times-News. Graham is a six-year NBA veteran, having played for the Raptors, Nuggets, and, last season, the Cavaliers.
  • Former Pacers first-round pick David Harrison has been claimed by the D-League's Reno Big Horns, tweets Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. The ex-University of Colorado big man played four seasons in Indiana after being drafted in 2004. The 29-year-old last appeared in an NBA game in April 2008.
  • After playing just one game for the D-League's Iowa Energy, Xavier Henry has been recalled by the Hornets, the team announced today.
