Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is looking forward to getting the chance to play Chris Paul and the Suns for the first time this season on Wednesday, as Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman writes. Paul served as a mentor for Gilgeous-Alexander in Oklahoma City last season, and the two guards have remained close even after CP3 was dealt to Phoenix.
“Obviously me and him built a bond over the past year, to where he’s almost like a brother to me,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “We talk about everything. How life’s going, how the teams are doing, how we’re doing.”
Gilgeous-Alexander added that it was a “blessing” to play with a veteran star like Paul last season, and that the bond the two former teammates built has had “even more of an impact than the on-the-court stuff,” per Mussatto.

I’m glad the Stars have the players on their roster that I liked from the off-season signings of the Jazz. Turns out this why they did that (it was already speculated). Tre Scott intrigues me. Yogi could be a nice call up if the Jazz need it later in the year.
What is your that/it? It’s not speculation when a player the Jazz signed in the offseason plays on a Jazz-sponsored team.
They signed them and then waived them. The speculation was that they did that to secure their rights for their G League team. Yogi ended up playing for the Cavs for a few games. Yet, he ended up on the Jazz’s G League team. Tre Scott was signed and waived from the Jazz, but here we are and he’s on their G League roster.
Oh, and Malcolm Miller looks like a deadly shooter if they need it. Glad the Jazz are thinking ahead with their G League affiliated team.
