As teams explore the trade market for potential deals to complete their rosters for training camp, there are a number of trade restrictions those clubs must take into account. Most notably, newly signed free agents can’t be dealt until at least December 15.
The NBA’s Collective Bargaining Agreement states that a free agent who signs with an NBA team can’t be traded for three months or until December 15, whichever is later. There are also some recently signed players who meet a few specific criteria and can’t be traded until January 15. That list of players can be found right here.
The players who aren’t eligible to be traded until December 15 are listed below.
Players whose contracts haven’t been officially finalized aren’t yet listed below. Players who have the ability to veto trades in 2025/26 are marked with a caret (^). Players on non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed contracts are marked with an asterisk (*).
We’ll continue to update this page over the next few months as players are signed or waived.

The NBA salary cap, luxury tax, and apron levels for the 2025-26 season are set as follows:
Category —————— Amount
Salary Cap — $154.647 million
Luxury Tax Threshold — $187.895 million
First Apron Level — $195.945 million
Second Apron Level — $207.824 million
The Warriors right now according to Hoopshype have 10 players under contract. Without counting Kuminga.
They are at —- 171,142,836. So these are the FACTS . Something all the Warrior apologists can’t comprehend, can’t fathom, won’t accept………
Signing Kuminga to 25 mill a year. Puts them in dangerous territory. At first apron. So any sign n trade for Kuminga at 25 mill or more. They really want no part of it. Remember they have agreements with Horford and Melton. That is in jeopardy. Then Warriors want no part of second apron. Cause there are more restrictions that will affect them at TD. So we all know Kuminga is not taking less than 25 mill. And we have known this. Since Quickley signed for 30 mill and Suggs signed for 25 mill. Kuminga is not going to offer Warriors any goodwill now. So it’s in the Warriors best interest for him to accept his QO.
Then Warriors can sign Horford and Melton. Maybe even make a trade. Then move Kuminga for a player and pick. In all adding three players to their rotation. Instead of losing Horford and even Melton and just adding the package for Kuminga trade. And getting in second apron. This isn’t a negotiation. This is about Warriors loading up for next year as best they can. Are we all on the same page now ??
The information is out there if you really want it. Only the Warrior apologists rather whine and cry than look at ALL the FACTS. And NOT take any responsibility for Warriors letting this situation just get worse over the years ….
