The Grizz at 3, 16 and 32… A good chance to kickstart a rebuild.
Maybe they can trade Ja for a bag of chips. Do they still make Pizzerias?
I will never forgive the Jazz for this
For what?
While the Jazz pulled a master class in tanking even after upgrading their roster at the deadline, the Kings terrible roster won games in the last 6-8 weeks of the season. Resulting in a tiebreaker for the 4th spot in the lottery. Sac loses the tie breaker and has the 5th spot. The 4th spot Jazz move up to 2 while the 5 spot Kings move down to 7.
The Jazz deserve what they’re gonna get.
Success? That’s what they look like on paper at least with George, Kessler, Jackson Jr., and Markkanen already there with the 2nd pick to add to them.
I know it sucks Nets and Kings got screwed. Kings will get Fleming probably best pure PG in draft imo.
I agree pacers and jazz both deserve to lose their pick. Both had capable teams and played with the integrity of the game. Although I’ll say the kings are the worst drafting franchise in sports next too the browns and Mets. Like come on how many top 5 picks you going to blow
Not that anyone cares, but here is my mock draft (not an expert lmao):
1. AJ
2. Darryn P
3. Cam Boozer
4. Caleb Wilson
5. Keaton Wagler
6. Darius Acuff Jr
7. Kingston Flemings
8. Mikel Brown Jr
9. Brayden Burries
10. Nate Ament
11. Yaxel Lendeborg
12. Koa Peat
13. Aday Mara
14. Labaron Philon Jr
I could see Acuff going at 4 if he has a really good pre draft process, bht I cant see the Clippers picking him because of Garland. Also, if okc loses to the Spurs I could see them getting Mara.
Yes, I’m high on Koa Peat. But dont blame me, blame Fiba’s U19 world cup.
“9. Brayden Burries”
I love Braydenberries. They make a good jam. They’re so rarely in season, though.
Dark horse- Memphis trades # 3 to the Thunder for 12, 18, 37, and future draft picks
Thunder pick up a premium prospect to add to their already deep team potentially replacing someone they can’t sign long term
Memphis reloads its roster with
12, 18, 37 from Thunder
16, 32
5 top 40 picks reloads the roster around Morant
Then Griz can use 18 and 32 to dump Ja.
I think Memphis takes the BPA at 3. This is a loaded draft so the talent from 3 to 12 won’t really be that big of a drop. Plus they drafted Wells and Coward last few years. They need a PF with trading JJJ. I can see them taking Boozer and be happy with their core going forward.
Whine pi pile you Trae the 3 pick? Thats nuts.
underated comment right here
None of the Grizzlies finished in top 50 of PER (player efficiency rating)
There’s need for massive improvements
Wells finished with a 7.8 PER
Coward 18.3
Average is 15
“ This is a loaded draft so the talent from 3 to 12”
Is true then Grizzlies trading for 12 18 and 37 plus future compensation in exchange for 3 makes sense
Thunder don’t have enough roster spaces and moving up to 3 to pick their guy makes sense instead of trading for more future picks
2026 free agents none hold club option in Dort and Hartenstein
2027 free agents none hold club on Joe Wallace Mitchell and some other bench guys
Grizzlies pick up additional ammo in 2026 and 2027 to improve their roster without sacrificing talent
What. Why would Memphis trade boozer for low end starters and bench players. Bro this is not 2k.
Why would Memphis trade Boozer for
12, 18, 37 and future draft picks?
Cause they suck, have 1 franchise player who rather be a gang banger than basketball player, and need help at pretty much every position?
Turning 1 player into an entire roster worth of players is suddenly a bad idea lmao
Not like that’s how the Thunder built their contender how the Celtics built their contender by trading guys for picks and building up the roster
Tell me you know nothing about the NBA by this post. This is not the NFL where you need multiple players. In the NBA you do not win without a franchise player. Boozer maybe 1b 1c or a 2 player. Not trading that for 4, 5 or 6. That make zero sense and not how you build a franchis. The gap between a top 3 pick and 12 is huge and just as big from 12-18. And 37 players lucky to even carve out a roll in the NBA. Nobody’s trading the third overall pick for two mid-round picks and a third string player or a player that can develop into a nice bench role. Come on
“ Tell me you know nothing about the NBA by this post.”
You can buy buckets but can’t buy a brain?
“ In the NBA you do not win without a franchise player.”
Grizzlies have one – Ja Morant smoothie brain
“ Boozer maybe 1b 1c or a 2 player. Not trading that for 4, 5 or 6”
Two players don’t win a championship single digit IQ holder. You need a star, secondary option, and depth. You don’t need to draft at 3 to find a secondary option. You do need 12 18 37 and future picks to find secondary options and depth.
“ The gap between a top 3 pick and 12 is huge and just as big from 12-18. And 37 players lucky to even carve out a roll in the NBA.”
Actually it’s not last few years here’s guys taken 10th or later
2024 Buzelis Ware, Missi
2023 Jamie Jr, PodIemski,Clowney Sensabuagh, Keynote George
2022- Jale Duran Jalin Williams Mark
Williams Eason Kessler Watson
2021- moody sengun Murphy iii Jalen Johnson Aldma
2020 Vassel Haliburton Bey Maxey Quickly Pritchard McDaniels Bane
“Huge gap” my arse lmao mos these guys outplay guys taken 1-9 in their respective drafts
I can go on and on but it just further proves you’re a novice and maybe basketball isn’t your thing.
“ Nobody’s trading the third overall pick for two mid-round picks and a third string player or a player that can develop into a nice bench role. Come on”
Me: “ Dark horse- Memphis trades # 3 to the Thunder for 12, 18, 37, and future draft picks”
Also me: “ Is true then Grizzlies trading for 12 18 and 37 plus future compensation in exchange for 3 makes sense”
Hey look me again Me: Why would Memphis trade Boozer for
12, 18, 37 and future draft picks?
LOL three different times future picks was mentioned and you you fkd up the trade proposal that was stated thee different times. Might as well call you captain fkup from now on cause your entire comment is just you fking up over and over over again
Reading isn’t your strong suit cause I also said FUTURE PICKS like ffs if you’re gonna comment at least prove you’re not Helen Keller over here who can’t read or form a coherent well thought out response cause you’re just making dumb noises trying to communicate.
If you’re gonna respond don’t waste my time having to break down your comment and show you where you went wrong
Haha tell me you know when I played professionally ball and made a g League team.
Your warriors fan with Curry and Butler down. Did the warriors make the playoffs? What seed were they? So your role players impacted no winning and that’s exactly where you would be trading the third pick for a bunch of 12-18 and 32.
Writing all that tells me you never play basketball past high School if you even played and know nothing about skill level. I guarantee you there’s not one person on this planet that would make that trade and if you did you would be just as dumb as an Indiana GM.
But not least Memphis doesn’t have a franchise player. John Morant will never win a championship as the number one man and they’re trying to trade off of him. So that make zero sense as a well. Ja is a number 2 player. He be able to win with two number two players if the rest of your roster is completely strong.
You thought you cooked but you didn’t. You sound like an idiot more than anything. Don’t waste my time. Trust me I have more basketball knowledge. I trained 4 NBA players last summer Kanye George being one of them. So you sound crazy talking about talent level.
Every player you mentioned Not franchise player. They’re complementary pieces. With the exception of kg being possibly a low-level All-Star. That has not winning you a championship and not how you build a team. Why they were still tanking this year you’re not going to trade boozer who potentially could be a franchise player or your second best player on a championship team for a bunch of complimentary pieces.
Internet is wild how people hide behind the internet and feeling bolden. I bet you’re a keyboard warrior who would talk non of that in person. Don’t even know how to win an LA fitness game cuz you probably run up and down the court shooting threes and thinking you’re the man
Great more bs I have to read when I know it’s wrong like your last comment
Typing more just makes you more wrong lmao
I’ll respond when I have time after work be good boy while I’m at work and wait patiently for my response.
“ Every player you mentioned Not franchise player. They’re complementary pieces. ”
Maxey Haliburton Sengunn Jalen Johnson aren’t franchise players? LOLOLOLOLOLOL yeah you fkd up again ffs that sentience alone disqualifies you from ever talking about basketball again. Go sit in the corner and think about how wrong you are “not franchise players” LOLOLOLOLOL
The league rewarded the awful teams who at least added talent at the deadline instead of rewarding teams for being bad and not even trying to get better until the offseason.
Unlike last season, this time the tanking teams got the top picks.
Nets and Kings got screwed …..
Wash — AJ
Utah —Peterson
Mem — Boozer
Chi — Wagler
LA — Wilson
Bklyn — Acuff
Sac — Fleming
Atl — Brown
Dal — Ament
Mil — Lendeborg
GS — Philon
OKC — Burries
Mia — Steinbach
Char — Mara
For what’s its worth 👈🏻👈🏻
Utah is tough to call. They’ve got established vets or young high potential development guys at every position.
Before the draft
PG- George, Collier
SG- Bailey, Williams
SF- Markkanen, Sensabaugh
PF- Jackson, Filpowski
C- Kessler
I think they let Kessler go, and they draft Wilson at 2. Jury is still out on Bailey so they’ll give him some time to develop.
If they want Wilson then they should be talking to the Bulls. See if they get an extra pick so the Bulls can draft second and take Peterson or Boozer. They can get Wilson at 4.
They’ll keep Kessler. Jackson works better with a traditional Center. That way he can play more like a free safety and let Kessler play rim protector.
With JJ there you don’t need Boozer. You may not like Peterson lol. Imo he is a big time guard. Big got a handle and poise. Can’t pass on him.
I love Peterson lol I just don’t think they like his make up. Too much baggage on him.
The Jazz may not get the chance to draft Peterson. The Wizards may very well take Peterson themselves. Kyshawn is good but he’s no Peterson.
They aren’t passing on AJ. He fits right in with AD and Trae, Ware, George.
Get the players and teams right before you think you can speak about the game. Ketel Ware is on the Miami Heat, the person you’re talking about is ALEX SARR. I know they might look similar to you bc of four letter last names. What a clown. Can’t even get the players right but thinks people mute him. You aren’t worthy to be muted.
Oh you finally got something right. My bad Sarr.
Says the DeRozan to Knicks trade guy for three years. What’s the matter? Wife left you again with the alimony during this season?
Damn raz take it easy lol
Al why do people try and play gm. Wizards are not passing on AJ. He is the top prospects. Peterson is a distant number 2. There’s a gap and then there’s boozer. The jazz have 3 bugs and not 2 guard. Paterson plays defense. Bailey looks good and no way they trade him. He just needs some weight he will get this off season. Kg, Paterson Baily, luri JJ.
They get kasleer back or move him.
No way they passing on AJ. You wrong about Boozer. Memphis won’t pass on him.
Is it a conspiracy today to just think the balls come out of the hopper organically
Good grief , conspiracies attached to about 70% of posts in the last hour
If there had been a conspiracy this year, I think Golden State would have gotten the #1 pick.
It’s like someone mentioned earlier.. The truly bad teams got rewarded with top picks. I’m reasonable enough to believe conspiracies when they make sense, but there’s no evidence of a conspiracy atm
The last five second round picks were traded. I wonder how many of them were the classic minimum offer “Top 55 protected.”
PACERS…SMH. Resignation time.
The Street Clothes curse…
You trade for AD… He gets injured… You get the number 1 pick…
For wiz, kings and grizz to get better a draft order over bucks, dubs? Didn’t see that coming.
