The Suns, who went just 4-7 in February as they dealt with injuries affecting multiple starters and rotation players, will get some reinforcements on Tuesday in Sacramento.
As Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic relays (via Twitter), star guard Devin Booker is no longer listed on Phoenix’s injury report after missing the past four games due to a right hip strain. While the Suns split those four games without Booker available, they were clearly missing their leading scorer, having ranked 29th in the NBA in offensive rating during that stretch.
Recently signed swingman Haywood Highsmith also isn’t included on the Suns’ latest injury report, Rankin notes, which suggests he should be ready to make his season debut. Highsmith underwent surgery to address a torn meniscus in his right knee last August and experienced a setback in his rehab in October. He was traded from Miami to Brooklyn last offseason, was waived by the Nets last month, and signed with the Suns as he ramped up to return to action.
Two of Phoenix’s top wing defenders – Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture) and Jordan Goodwin (left calf strain) – remain out, so Highsmith should get a shot to earn rotation minutes now that he’s healthy.
We have more health-related updates from around the NBA:
- Pelicans forward Zion Williamson sat out on Sunday due to an ankle sprain, ending his career-high streak of 35 consecutive games played, but he’s listed as questionable to play on Tuesday vs. the Lakers and told Malika Andrews of ESPN (Twitter video link) he expects to suit up. Williamson will be motivated to appear in at least 16 of New Orleans’ final 20 games this season, since doing so would ensure he locks in at least 80% of his $42.2MM salary for 2026/27 (the remaining 20% could become guaranteed if he meets weight-related benchmarks).
- Heat forward/center Nikola Jovic will miss a fifth consecutive game on Tuesday due to a lower back injury, writes Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald. Jovic says he doesn’t have any disk issues and doesn’t think the ailment is related to the stress reaction in his back that sidelined him for a significant portion of the 2022/23 season, but he admitted he’s struggling with the injury. “My back doesn’t feel good,” Jovic said. “The scan shows I got some inflammation, and one of my nerves doesn’t look great right now.”
- Warriors wing Moses Moody, who didn’t play in the fourth quarter of the team’s loss to the Clippers on Monday, jammed his wrist and injured his shoulder, according to head coach Steve Kerr, who said Moody will be evaluated further on Tuesday (Twitter link via Nick Friedell of ESPN).
- Kristaps Porzingis missed a fifth straight game with an illness on Monday and it’s unclear when the Warriors big man will return to action, Friedell writes for The Athletic. “It’s a little mysterious,” Kerr said of Porzingis’ illness. “We’re obviously working with him, and he can get some clarity, and he can kind of break through, and he can get to a point where he’s consistently healthy, but that’s something that the medical staff is working hard on with him. I’m not going to posit any medical theories anymore.”

The Warriors thought Porzingis was gonna suddenly be regularly healthy just because he was traded to them?
Nope.
It was a shot in the dark. Sort of like when they acquired D’Angelo Russell in the whole Kevin Durant thing.
You keep that high dollar salary slot so you’re able to navigate the cap. At least that’s my understanding, I could be wrong.
Bottom line there was no way they were keeping JK on the roster past the deadline. That was non-negotiable.
KP was their hail mary and the pass didn’t even make it to the end zone.
Nope no one thought that. He might come back next month but he also might be effed for life and this might be his final year in the NBA. GSW got him for the cap space.
I’m more mad they wasted a roster space on Seth Curry for no reason.
Something about some big shot trainer…
Warriors are done.
Get trounced by the Lakers at HOME and then not only can’t beat the Clippers at HOME, but lose handily ?
It’s over.
It was over as soon as Butler was lost for a year. They’ll fall to 10th and lose the play in, earning a chance at a high draft pick.
But then they’ll probably draft a 6’5″ guard…
You don’t want to get to choosie. Taking a big man where they’ll land pretty much means that they are tanking next season.
They need a Jalen Johnson type forward or a rim protecting big that can pass.
They have plenty of guards already.
They look like a team tanking. Played well the first half and then played lost again in the second half. Kerr wasn’t even coaching he just sat on the bench. Thery need to keep all their draft picks and start the rebuild. Put Podz on teh trading block. Usually he he is horrible in teh first half but this time played well in the first half and couldn’t hit anything in the second half.
We’ve all known this for a long time.
I know ghost. You keep saying it’s gonna rain and eventually one day it’ll rain.
You claim you’ve been saying this for “a long time” yet the Warriors in playoff position today even while sucking big time?
Don’t worry, your rain prediction will come through very soon because it doesn’t look good in the next few weeks.
I know the pain of a dominant championship run over 10 years must hurt and the proof is in the pudding here in the comment section.
But (real? Non Davey?) Dubs fans realize the Warriors are coming back to earth. No problem what a great run and definitely makes up for the prior 30 years of atrocious basketball, drafting, ownership, coaching, and all the rest of it.
Very hard for me to accept that Al Attles was “atrocious” as a coach. The rest I am not qualified to comment on to any significant degree, but the Jersey Jet did plenty with what he had to work with.
He wasn’t atrocious as a coach. But, he had a terrible 1980 draft day. He traded away 2 future HoF for a guy who made a couple of All-Star games. They already had one future HoF on the roster.
I said 30 years not 50.
The great Al Attles took an underdog team to a championship. Enough said.
Yeah .. you’re right on .. I keep thinking Purvis Short was in the lineup 2 years ago. Tempus Fugit. Are the Kings just now moved from Rochester?? I need a daily paper.
You were closer than you think though. 2015 minus 30 years is 1985. I think Coach Al may have retired from the sidelines in the late 70s?
But yes, time flies. I would naturally think 30 years ago was 1976 not 1996 lol
Purvis short baby. Greg Ballard, Lester Connor, sleepy Floyd, Terry Teagle, Lewis Lloyd, Jim Peterson, Ralph Sampson, and of course the infamous Joe Barry Carroll lol
He retired in 83…
You want to talk about infamous Warriors. Todd Fuller, Chris Washburn, Sprewell, Andris Biendris, (when people say the Warriors need a 7-footer, I think of him), Of course, no list would be complete without Chris Cohan.
Bernard King
It was fun while it lasted.
Now come the vultures ready to feed on the dying carcass.
According to some, these buzzards have been circling for “a long time.”
Why can’t it still be fun? How about watching a new group of guys growing and coming together? They may not have a run in them like the Curry/Kerr teams. But, I think Dunleavy is smart. I think he can bring solid players. You never know when a HoF is going to pop up.
Wiseman and Kuminga —- keep watching.
Loads of fun for ME … lmao
Sounds like you have a pretty sad life. Other teams have made far worse mistakes. Why you need to be hung up on the Warriors is bizarre.
Just current. You really don’t know this game do you. Fact you and Gary deserve this more than any. Is just desert for me. But this story is just beginning lol. JK could become an all star one day. You really have no clue. His story is just beginning … I gollow all players I liked in draft. Till they end it. I can give you a list if you like …😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😱
Why? Sure, JK could become an All-Star one day. Why should I be hung up on it.
No one cares what you think. Why are you here responding. I will be here till he makes it big time. Or not. Cause that is what I wanted him to do since draft. I don’t give up on players like most posters on here.
Kuminga, nor the Hawks, are mentioned in this article. Why bring them up?
Really ?????? Gee like IGAF ten yr old.
KP is here and how did you get him. You are the one that keeps talking about JK . I just respond to your lies.
Kuminga, like a few other players, are no longer members of the Warriors. They don’t figure into their present or future plans. So, what’s the point of bringing him up? I have no idea what you think I’m lying about.
Lets see three plus yrs of lies and ignorance about a player. Gee what is that worth. All I do is pist what he is doing now. Why don’t you want to know …
Just begun lol. Only just begun. I can bring up all your oists on him. Gladly reming you.
This site is mainly focused on player’s transactions. When I want to find out how teams and players are doing, I go to other sites. I don’t need that from you. I don’t understand why you are obsessed with this? You really have the time to go search every post I have made on here? Why? What is it proving?
Need ……. weird choice of words. There are about 5-6 Warriors wagoneers who trashed JK for years here. Who needed that. Now you can’t swallow your own words. JK updates for all the haters.
This IS What We Know About You. You Don’t Have The Respect To Look a Player UP. A d Maybe Learn Something. Just Hate on Him …… Raynaud is a starter today as Rookie.

An NBA ready at #41 in the draft, what are you smoking? I think you need to layoff the chronic.

Any real Center Warriors can add is a plus……. Only you talk NBA ready ….
Raynaud is a player who started playing ball late in life. He is stll learning the game really. He is ready to help next year. More important he has upside and fits their offense. This is why they have blown all their top picks. They take a guard they don’t need. Raynaud as a trade asset is even more important and valuable than any pick at this point. A position of need. Only fools pass on that in 2nd rd …. You really should know who he is. You see what Edey has done. This guy is more advanced offensively. Players who started playing late in life like Edey and Reynaud. Learn fast and progress faster. Another missed opportunity ……

How many times have you told me no one plays D in nba. Now your a D guy. D is the easiest thing to teach and coach. Your right why would you go to Warriors for that. You just make sure you watch him develop in Sacramento.

When did I tell you that? The Warriors didn’t get into the playoffs last year based on their shooting. That is laughable if you think that. Where do you get the idea it is the easiest thing to teach.

So ARE WE Watching hid Development NOW. I know it sucks being you not having my vision. Truth is I miss too. Just not this time. Frankly a Big for Warriors is an easy call. Nothing genius about it.
You’re right, Giants74.., I’m just having a time of mourning.
It’s a long walk down from the mountain top.
I hear you about mourning. My sports fandom started in mourning. My teams all sucked as a kid. Except for the Warriors, I could never get into the Oakland teams, even though I grew up in the East Bay, and they were always winning. It changes my perspective; I guess. I’ve seen worse.
That’s true. Warriors had their share of amzing athletic players other than the TMC.
Baron Davis, Sprewell, Chris Webber, Billy Owens, Bernard King…..
they have been here all year long.
Feel bad for Arc and Gary. Very smart and respectable GSW fans. Honestly KP was grasping straws. They did not want to mortgage their future with the 1st rounders, so they tried for a quick fix. It didn’t work out. Now if GSW tanks and Portland gets in the playoffs, Bulls might convey that pick from the 1st year of the Biden administration lol.
Warriors should target Koa Pete, he’s 6’8 but very athletic and can grow into a 2 way player. Also another guy that should be on their list should be Chris Cenac from Houston who has size at 6’11.
You always have kind words, raz. Much appreciated.
Been a fan of yours and Arc, for as long as we can all remember lol. I was in SF/Oakland in May 2015 during the WCF with Rockets, and the city was just beaming from ear to ear. Mission Street was insane lol. And my mom’s favorite modern day player is Curry. She always looks for his games when they are on national televsion.
Those were the days.
Its been down hill since Curry got hurt in the playoffs last year. There is no savoir to come in and turn the team around for next year. Time to rebuild. All good things come to an end. I just wish sport writers would stop commenting that the team owes it to Curry. there is nothing more they can do. If Curry wants out trade him. green has a player option next year which should be his last year and retire. Just some fans can’t understand that the NBA is a young man’s game.
Arc, you nailed it spot on, especially with your last piece. Basketball and sports in general will always be a young man’s game. There are very few happy endings in sports, especially in basketball.
The draft mocks have the Warriors landing Koa. They have also scouted Karim Lopez.
For a big man, I think they are high on Charles Bassey. They traded for him. They brought him back after a 10-day contract in Philly
i have a feeling there will be a big change with the team’s roster. Even Harford may decline his option and find a team close to championship.
I mean anything can happen. KP can get a run of good health and Curry can come back on fire, both those things are still on the table. Until “out for season” appears next to their name on the IR, the Warriors will make the postseason and likely win the play in.
I’m so weirded out by people who think 1 regular season game is a playoff game when last night GSW were playing 4 guys who were/are on 2W deals. They are massively injured, but only Jimmy is out for the year. I think if they can get everyone but Jimmy up and running by the final week of the season, they will prove wrong everyone who is calling their season over right now.
That said: I have said “Podz is dollar store Russ” for a long time and last night proved it. 20 points in first half, 2 in second half. Russ, the guy GSW had like half a dozen times to acquire him and never offered him even one deal…because he is the opposite of their system…he can never play with Steph.
When Steph comes back, Podz and Steph should never stand on the same court ever again. It makes zero sense that GSW FO cant see it. Podz’ game is most similar to Russ’s, and Russ does not fit the system.
Moody hurt his shoulder and they kept playing him the rest of the game until his adrenaline fell off…that probably hurt him even more. Kerr should have pulled him then and there but the arbitrary stopwatch decides his rotations, that’s why he let the same rotation go back out there as they blew an 18 point lead. Kerr is just totally indefensible now. Last night was a perfect example of Mr. Half Day at “work”. This washed up clown probably took a nap at halftime.
So basically you gave up on JK for this …..
Athletic.
In THREE games with Hawks Kuminga has put up
26 mins, 21.3 pts, 68% FG, 56% 3 pt, 3.4 ast, 7.7 reb
Just BRILLIANT …..
3 games against below .500 teams and 2 of those games against a team playing no starters. So don’t get to excited about Kuminga stats. Its like spring training baseball never getting excited before the real games begin.
Remember “Linsanity”?
Yeah you must know all about that. Its sad when you only want failure for a player. Why do you care what he does NOW. He’s moved on. Try it
I never anything about wanting failure for a player. Why get excited about 3 games? Why do you what happens to the Warriors?
Excited lmao ……. are there other gms. Those are his ONLY games Wagoneer. Its a new day
I don’t think you understand how this works. Teams weren’t offering up much for Kuminga. It was probably the best offer.
As far Kuminga’s stats, it is only 3 games. Any player can do that for 3 games. Get back to me when he has done that for a season, 82 games.
The ten yr with answers …. Why don’t you learn how it works. He could have been traded 100 times since draft day….. go read and get updated lol.
He wasn’t so let it go. It bothers you more than warrior fans. We get it the warriors screwed up on Kuminga. Why can’t you let it go?
Just the beginning. Who told you many times all he needed was another system, team. I love seeing players peak. No matter what teams they play for. I am a true basketball fan. Unlike the Wagoneers
I’m not the head coach. Why do you care what system a team has? It is always changing.
Yes brilliant 👏👏
So, why are you complaining here about the coach. I doubt he looks at these boards.
What were the offers?
Now look up JK’s numbers in the Wolves series in the WCS last year. They knew who he was. Kerr refused to let him shine. He did everything in his power to bury him from day 1, from playing Anthony Lamb over him to the DNPs, all JK did was smile throughout it all. Great guy, love seeing him cook. I was a big defender of JK and Moody, to me they look like main starting lineup guys, and they…are? Podz looks like he could be the white Russ, or he could be the worst player of all-time. Yet Podz gets unlimited chances and JK gets 1? Why was this allowed to happen? Why did Kerr decide a 20 year old was his new “connector guy” when he did nothing to earn it? Not even one legit breakout game.
They gave up JK for the cap hit KP has. Only reason. If KP played 1 game that’s more than they expected.
Wild how both Seth Curry and Kristaps Porzingis have played 1 game each for GSW this season. The roster if fully healthy including Jimmy cooks the whole league in the playoffs, but we will never see that. What a frustrating year so far, but it’s not over yet! It’s not over until “out for season” appears next to Steph on the IR. Period.
Phat $Z$ion ——
He’s been in NbA 7 yrs. He has avg 36 gms a year. And getting MAX money for it. Free money
He’s probably who GSW will get for Porzingus lol
