  • Blazers GM Neil Olshey tells the Portland Tribune's Kerry Eggers that the team will wait until its roster is filled out before making a decision on hiring a head coach.
  • Olshey also tells the Oregonian's Jason Quick that he has not promised Syracuse guard Dion Waiters that he will be drafted with Portland's 11th pick. Olshey elaborates that he has not made a promise to any player in the draft.
  • Second-year guard Nolan Smith tells's Chris Haynes that he does not listen to comparisons between himself and Kenneth Faried, drafted directly after him in 2011 by the Nuggets.
