Lakers, Nets, Rockets Talking Howard Trade

The Lakers and Magic have had preliminary contact about a possible deal for Dwight Howard, league sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.  The Nets and Rockets have also talked to Magic officials, sources said.

The Magic won't consider a scenario where they would move Howard to the Lakers without getting back Andrew Bynum in return.  Los Angeles would obviously prefer to use a package centered on Pau Gasol but the soon-to-be 32-year-old isn't enough for Orlando.  The Lakers had been willing to part with Bynum for Howard in March, but those talks ended when Howard decided to decline his early termination option.

Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, sources say Deron Williams' patience with waiting for Howard is wearing out and that he’s likely to make his decision without his possible arrival in mind.
