Andre Iguodala remains on the Grizzlies. He’s away from the team and the franchise is expected to trade him at some point this season. Many assume that Los Angeles will ultimately be where the former Finals MVP ends up but that’s far from a certain outcome.
Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com hears from rival executives that the Mavericks could be contenders for Iguodala’s services. Courtney Lee ($12.8MM) is on an expiring deal and the team could package him along with another young player or draft picks (Windhorst mentions Dallas’ extra second-round picks) to acquire Iguodala.
The Mavericks have the NBA’s best offense, though their defense is in the bottom half of the league, per NBA.com. Iguodala could bring his defensive prowess to a team that is already outproducing its expectations this season.
Iggy seems like a great fit. Solid wing defender who can occasionally hit 3s would be perfect for the mavs
As a Warrior fan I am hoping Iggy goes to either the Mavs or Nuggets. He would be good for a young team. I just don’t want him going to the Lakers because they act like the NBA owes them a championship and should get any player for free.

He’d probably make the Mavericks a dark horse to win the title assuming Porzingis can become more efficient shooting the ball and get his legs under him, If Iguodala was on the Mavericks they likely win last night against the Clippers.
Been a Dallas fan since 2006. I wanted them to trade for Iggy and Dalemburt in 2007 when they were with the 76ers.
After watching last nights game i was like the mavs need to get iggy and stop PG13, Kawai,LeBron,etc. Kawhi man handled Finney-Smith in pain last night. Glad to see the Mavs are looking at this.

I cant see a team trading for jiggy unless they are dumping a worse contract. The guy is a great role player but in my opinion not worth more then the minimum at age 35+.
Iggy is a great defensive player. He can shut down the best scorers. On a team with good offense he makes that team even stronger.

Iguodala is expiring, and most teams have a loadable bad salary or two around to exchange. It’s about what else goes. Is two r2s enough?
Mavs should make a play. Iguodala is NOT a perfect fit there and is a bit grumpy in general but that’s the point. Mavs could stand to go in his direction.
He prob wants GSW though and will likely wind up there next year.

Think Riley should make the a call for a Iggy trade deal. He would fit great as a closer on the Heat. Waiters, J. Johnson for Iggy and Josh Jackson or maybe Crowder. Granted Jackson would make more sense for the Heat.
