With the 2025/26 NBA regular season set to tip off next month, we’re getting serious about predictions for the upcoming campaign and continuing an annual Hoops Rumors tradition.
With the help of the lines from a series of sports betting sites – including BetMGM and BetOnline – we’re running through the predicted win totals for each of the NBA’s 30 teams, by division. In a series of team-by-team polls, you’ll get the chance to weigh in on whether you think those forecasts are too optimistic or too pessimistic.
In 2024/25, our voters went 13-17 on their over/under picks. Can we top that in ’25/26?
We’ll begin our series today with the Atlantic Division…

Who are better?
Embiid and Maxey vs Brown and White
George vs Simons
As is, no assumption
3-6 seeds predict
Magic
Hawks
Pistons
Bucks
Pacers are better than Celtics and 76ers?
Pacers have a better coach
Sixers had a great draft imo. Even if Embiid can’t play all year. With Drummond they are still a playoff team.
If Embiid can’t go this year cause of injuries. I fire Morey first. Then cancel Embiid contract on medical exception. And just look forward. Massey and VJ Edge are future stars. Forget Embiid.
Putting on my betting hat
Philly over 42.5 in a weak conference makes sense. They’re due for better health and even if embiid misses half a season they can grind out 45 wins.
Boston under 42.5 — they have cheap new owners and are committed to the stealth tank. Obvious take: if your starting front court is chris boucher and some guy named Quinta, you’re outwardly tanking!
