Paul George has been upgraded to questionable for the Sixers‘ game against the Clippers tomorrow, relays Derek Bodner of PHLY_Sports (via Twitter).
George has missed the team’s first 12 games as he looks to return from offseason knee surgery, and this marks the first time he has been listed as questionable.
Tony Jones of The Athletic reported earlier that George was a full participant in the Sixers’ practice today, as was Joel Embiid (Twitter link).
George, in his 16th year, is looking to bounce back from his least productive season since 2011/12, his first with the Sixers. He averaged 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists on .430/.358/.814 shooting splits.
The Sixers have gone 7-5 in George’s absence, despite Embiid playing just six games. Trendon Watford, who was a limited participant in today’s practice, has largely filled in for George, starting four games and averaging 9.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
I hope he plays….I want to see him succeed in Philly
If he suffers another injury, he may need to call it a wrap. He had a great career especially after the leg injury.
