Bulls guards Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, and Tre Jones have all drawn interest from potential trade partners leading up to next Thursday’s deadline, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line (Substack link). However, one of those players appears more likely to be dealt than the others.
Fischer identifies White as the Bulls guard who is the best bet to be on the move in the next eight days, while Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times agrees that White is the player the team is discussing most frequently. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints confirms that there are indications Chicago would prefer to keep and extend Dosunmu rather than White.
As Fischer outlines, both White and Dosunmu will be eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer, but White – who previously passed on negotiating an extension that would’ve maxed out at about $87MM over four years – is expected to be seeking the larger payday of the two.
While the Bulls – with a relatively clean cap sheet and White’s Bird rights in hand – could accommodate a deal that exceeds $87MM over four years, it’s getting more difficult to envision them going too high for White after signing Josh Giddey to a four-year, $100MM contract last summer, Fischer writes. As Fischer explains, Dosunmu has proven capable of being a more complementary backcourt piece alongside Giddey, whereas White is at his best when he has the ball in his hands more frequently.
That makes Dosunmu a better fit going forward, and it helps that he’s a Chicago native, which the franchise has historically valued. Fischer also hears from sources that Dosunmu has “found good alignment” with the Bulls’ coaching staff.
As for which teams are in the mix for White, Fischer says the Timberwolves continue to be mentioned as a suitor. The Wolves are in need of a backcourt upgrade and their head of basketball operations, Tim Connelly, worked with Bulls executive VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas in Denver.
However, Minnesota would have some reservations about giving up much of value for White if there’s a good chance he might just be a rest-of-season rental, Fischer writes. With over $194MM in guaranteed money on their books for next season, the Wolves aren’t currently in a great position to sign White to a lucrative new contract in the offseason.
Fischer also hears that the Wolves aren’t necessarily eager to move on from respected veteran point guard Mike Conley, despite the fact that his expiring $10.8MM looks like an obvious salary-matching piece in a move for a player like White ($12.9MM). Minnesota appears more willing to deal 2024 lottery pick Rob Dillingham, Fischer adds.
Besides Minnesota, the Rockets are also in the mix for White, according to both Cowley and Siegel. Cowley suggests players like Reed Sheppard and Tari Eason have been “floated in some capacity.”
It certainly makes sense that Chicago would inquire on those youngsters, but I’m skeptical Houston would be willing to include either one in an offer for White, given his contract situation. Sheppard has emerged as a quality rotation player in his second NBA season, while one recent report suggested Eason is considered off limits in trade talks.
Siegel identifies the Clippers as another team with interest in White, though both he and Cowley suggest there are more teams beyond those three in play for the Bulls guard.

Thank god . Finally a bulls report that doesnt immediately hurt my head. Ayo is 100% the guy to prioritize, way better fit w Giddey and someone every team would want.
Dillingham doesn’t do anything for me. Would be yet another guard and not sure what his upside is if he hasn’t shown it for a team that needs him. Sheppard and esp Eason would be godsends but don’t see that happening. Even Capela and 2nds would be better than letting Coby walk though.
No one on the clips excites me… maybe DJJ return and some 2nds ? I would ultimately still vote for Dillingham/ Beringer combo for White . Beringer intrigues me as a young big
I totally agree that Ayo is a better fit than White. I would be happy if the Bulls gave Ayo the 87 million and traded White. I just wish they’d do it and get it over with. Ayo has improved his shooting 100% since he was drafted and it was the only real weak spot he had. He’s totally capable with Jones and Giddey of running the offense at any time and White is a total catastrophe at times when he’s asked to do it. Well he really isn’t asked to do it he just decides to go off all by himself. The Bulls waited to deal him and his value has cratered. He could have been dealt at the last draft and it would have been perfect. In fact if the Bulls liked Essengue that much they could have traded White , Got another first for White and drafted both Queen and Essengue and this team might have been even better this year and on the rise not stuck again at .500 mediocrity. Sigh. Just would have taken a leader with vision.
If , If, if you get a good offer for all three, trade them all. Get assets, we are not one year away, everyone but Giddey is available. I like Ayo, so wouldnt mind resigning him.
THIS TIMES A MILLION.
Minnesota get on the phone …… now.
I can see the financial issue. But that’s for next year.
Rockets are an interesting player in this. I don’t give up Shepard or Eason.
I see Minny and Phoenix as best fits for Coby. TWolves can challenge for West with Coby. Dillingham and a pick should do it.
Except the Bulls need Dillingham like a bad case rabies. Unless the pick is an unprotected 1st. Then they can trade Dillingham too.
Why wouldn’t they want Dillingham. He’s a 21 yr old PG. That can develop backing up Giddey. Not only is he depth. He’s a future asset for another move. Especially if you help him get better. Bulls are basically in rebuilding mode. Picks and young talent is what they need most.
Bulls have Giddey, Jones and Ayo for PG’s. 4 is ridiculous and he would just sit. Assuming of course the Bulls do the smart thing and extend Ayo. You can’t count on AK to do the smart thing. Ever.
Dillingham’s value has tanked, to the point where he’s behind Bones Hyland for minutes now. Minnesota has basically given up on him already, and I’m positive the league sees that – especially since the Spurs were willing to trade him away immediately, which looks to have been a smart move.
Maybe a late 2nd with Dillingham. White isn’t that good and wants too much money. He’ll play selfish ball.
Ant has played bad defense lately, Randle can’t and then add White? Even with Gobert and Jaden that’s rough.
If Rockets don’t want to give up either Sheppard or Eason, we good over here. Don’t need bums when Coby is a proven 20 PPG scorer the last 3 years and also 37% from 3PT. Who tf do we get if Eason isn’t available? Josh Okogie or DFS? Possibly Tate?
No front office respects AK, that’s why he’s getting low ball offers on Coby.
AK has gambled on everybody’s trade value and basically lost on every one except Ayo and Huerter. And Huerters still isn’t going to bring a whole lot. He’s held onto them for too long and cratered Collins and Coby’s value. I’d like Collins but he can’t stay on the floor. Maybe they can let him play out and sign him back cheaper. Or not, I’m cool either way. But either way after this year they need 3 more bigs to go with Smith because Collins and Vujevic are probably gone and because they need 4 and have one.
Bulls have to settle on a core first. You can’t build a team if you don’t have or believe in a core first. Otherwise you are trading just to trade. Or to accumulate picks and young talent. Is there a FA out there next yr to add to core ???? That’s a good question for Bulls.
They have a core, But they don’t play people where they should. PG- Giddey-Jones. Combo Guard-Ayo( 1 or 2) SF- Buzelis-Okoro. PF -None. C-none. Combo F -Smith. That’s what they have.
Trade Pieces
White
Vujevic
Huerter
Collins
Williams( yeah in dreamworld)
Carter( As a salary match)
Plus I think they even have a trade exception fro DDR except I have no idea how they work and neither does a CPA
If they can’t get at least a PF and a shooting guard for that AK should be launched for ineptitude. Or draft picks to get one. He also has a Portland protected 1st to throw into the mix.
I believe in Williams. But forget that. Why wouldn’t this team play him to look good so you can move him. That’s how you handle unwanted young talent.
Bulls aren’t going anywhere. Why prolong a Williams decision lol.
You just posted No core. Busselis is a nice talent. But hasn’t proven anything but upside yet. He’s yrs away from core player. You don’t want Coby. And you just settled on Giddey. Ayo imo is not a 2 guard. Si he will take yrs to show. Vucevic has no contract. Who is your core lol ?????
I only see Giddey as a sure core player right now. Okoro is at best a rotation player. Ayo and Busselis are yrs away. Bulls have Okoro, Giddey, Williams as only players under contract. You don’t want Williams. Even if we use Busselis. Thats two players as your core. And one is 20 yrs old. Bulls should be looking at a core player like Green or K Johnson in a Coby deal.
So now raz don’t you wish you listened to me and took Queen in draft.
Every fan wanted Queen so bad we could taste it. The only person who didn’t want him was the jerk who was making the picks for the Bulls. I didn’t think much of Okoro at first but he’s growing on me because he plays D. They have him playing at 2 guard and he’s not a good enough shot to be that all the time. But he can be a rotation wing. He can also be a salary match. It doesn’t matter to me.
I like Okoro a lot coming out. He just didn’t progress much in Cle. I think he needed more time in G-league. Wasn’t ready for next level. Still he does play D. And can be a rotation piece.
I was here draft night. And there weren’t any Bulls fans asking for Queen. Only me lol. Don’t know how you can do it. K Johnson to me is a big time talent. With Castle there. He should be available. He is a big time SG imo. He would be major for Bulls. Or anyone looking for a starting SG.
Al, I watched Queen since November 2024. I never said he would be bad lol I said TEAMS feared he was not athletic enough or a good defender to be a top notch player. I actually told a lot of people at work and friends to lookup DQ.
Nobody is talking about you. I said No Bulls fans.
But you personally asked me about Queen cause I always shot the Bulls down for not taking him. don’t act like you knew draft night. I have been here draft night for over 8 yrs.
Queen was overweight and still finding his game in college. His athleticism was always the concern. When I saw him getting leaner and lost over 30 lbs. you could see big time potential. He is a smart big who plays big. I see a big time 4. Not a center. A small ball center at best. I see him bringing back the big 4 position. Very skilled big.
Jesus dude you literally called me out by my name and then says nobody is talking about you???? What is your problem?
“ So now raz don’t you wish you listened to me and took Queen in draft.”
This is calling you out —
You weren’t here on draft. And you have asked me about Queen. I will pull it for you
link to hoopsrumors.com
Yes I wasn’t on here on draft night because my wife’s bday was that day. Bring your receipts on Queen, but keep my name out of your mouth you geriatric senile clown.
You talk big onna phone. Anyone who has to use his wife on a sports post. Is a worthless tool.
Better to keep your mouth shut and let us think you’re enabled. Than to open your mouth and prove it ……. I know I told you all about Queen UFDA.
But If you lose don’t ask no questions why …..
The only game you know is do or die …….
Bye
I was clamoring for Queen way before the draft and in every chat I asked if anyone thought he would be available. You can ask anyone or even go back to he posts in June before he draft if you like. Every chat I was in with Luke and Art they both said he’d be gone. And then he was there. And the Bulls drafted a guy who may never even play. I had to buy another new TV. That’s why I buy cheap ones. I saw him play a bunch of times against Illinois and he always gave their big men all they could handle. I knew he’d be good.
Bulls also passed on Sorber. A true center who will be major. Queen to me is more a 4. He’s not even in best
Bulls passed on two true bigs shape yet. Still losing weight and getting leaner. I see a big time 4 in future.
Bulls passed on two true bigs a C n PF. Either one is a future starter for them. Another core piece lol.
You obviously don’t watch enough bulls basketball. They have players decent enough to move forward with..call it a core if you like. Giddey, Buzelis, and their new rookie Noa Essengue are the future of the bulls. Everybody else can and should be expendable, maybe except for the hometown hero Ayo. Ak should already be otp trying to upgrade the roster so they can start winning consistently. Some of you guys aren’t wrong, they do need more pieces to add to their core. Pwill should’ve been their power forward of the future but he’s lost his confidence and stride after a bright rookie season. So with that being said, they need to prioritize on signing or drafting a quality 4 and a solid athletic big to play the 5.
If I like lol. A core is what ALL NBA teams try and find. Out of there you find your max talent hopefully. You are late to this conversation. Billy has changed his core three times. And is now about to do it again it seems.
Busselis, Esenngue, Giddey (?) , Okoro a rotation guy. This is your future. Bulls haven’t decided on anyone. Cause almost all are about to be FA. So AYo and the rest are all young. With Giddey as oldest. Thats your future right. Well Ayo looks good still growing. Busselis looks good still growing. Esenngue we don’t know yet?? You hope there is a core player here. If they don’t get traded. Like Bulls have been doing since Billy came here. So in summation I don’t see a core. I see potential of young talent. And Billy is in his 6th yr.
I been saying this since Bulls traded Zach and DeM. They need to decide on a core. And even Giddey they weren’t sure about. Most Bulls fans on here didn’t even like the Giddey trade.
Now we like Coby ….. ok
Rockets have options. Coby isn’t a priority for them imo.
These are facts about my posts that can’t be denied, Well by anybody except Al I guess.
1. I’ve been clamoring for the Bulls to get a PF to play with Vuj because he ‘s needed one badly. Now that he’s almost gone they decide to give him one. 3 years too late.
2. I’ve been imploring the Bulls to trade Coby White basically since the day they drafted him because they said he was a PG which he ABSOLUTELY isn’t. And since he wasn’t and they kept trying to make him one and he’s basically become Zach Lavine as a worthless player he now is worth basically nothing.
3. Everybody was so excited when the Bulls kept LaVine and then gave him a Max extension I said it was the worst move in Bulls history. I got vilified by EVERYONE. Guess who was right?
4. Was here long before Al saying who the Bulls should draft and was basically right every time. Clamored for the Bulls to draft Ayo and they finally did something smart. Except for Buzelis and Ayo the Bulls have been wrong every time. That’s pitiful.
5. How do these people keep their jobs? It’s a complete mystery.
6. Anybody who think this FO has the ability to wade out of this Ocean of mediocrity and trade them out of the abyss is in for a MAJOR disappointment.

You are right about front office and coach. Fact is you can’t follow a team when you don’t trust management. Knicks fans know. All you can do is evaluate the talent. But the team is in their hands. Like I been saying since they got rid of Zach and DeM. Bulls haven’t done anything to establish a core. And you can’t build a team until you decide on one. Otherwise you are still looking for a core. That’s what Ayo, Busselis, Esenngue are. Still searching for a core. Giddey was just accepted as one. This what building a core with 19 yr olds looks like. I would have traded Williams before resigning him. He’s not the issue. Its your ciach and management.
Keep Ayo and Matas. Trade EVERYONE else for draft picks and expiring contracts. Trade Giddey for picks. Make sure Patrick Williams contract is the first to go
Fire sale it all. Or back to mediocrity again
Bulls have done to Williams what Warriors are doing to Kuminga now. Still hanging around instead of playing him to trade him. Makes no sense to sit him. Like where are Bulls going. Play him like to trade him.
The Bulls ARE playing him when he actually feels like playing when he doesn’t have one of his many ailments. He’ll have one decent game then disappear for weeks. You just don’t pay attention to the Box Scores. Maybe you aren’t as observant as you think you are. Most of the games his only stat in the box score is minutes played.
They don’t play him consistently. And he’s been in This situation since he reupped. If you want to build a players value. You do it for 20 gms or more and make him look good. So he shows value. This isn’t anything new. He’s avg 18 mins this yr. He doesn’t even have a role. Cause they still haven’t figured out how to play him. Look you give him a simple role and look for him. Help him look good for 24-28 mins a fane. For pver 20 gms. This could have been done tor two yrs now. And now another TD is passing. Bulls haven’t done anything last three yrsas a tean. They easily could have given him steady mins to trade him.
20 games? He’s never played 20 games in a row in his life! Certainly not since got here. And he’s the #3 Small Forward behind Buzelis and Okoro. So exactly how many minutes does any team play their # 3 option on Any Team? He can’t play 4 he can’t play 2 he just can’t play period. So how many minutes should he get? I’ll wait. He already plays more minutes than any other team plays their #3 guy. Gimme a break.
Seriously man what are you talking about. The Bulls have been a lottery team since 2021. Whats more important than playing n trading Williams. This a dance you do “Chicago shuffle”.
Why is he still here.
Why do you pretend to know what you’re talking bout. Bulls only Lottery pick in the last few years was Buzelis at #11. You are a legend in you’re own mind again. And Essengue which was a waste of a pick IMO.
2025 12 1 Noa Essengue F Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany)

Pretend what to avoid. the truth is right here. They were a lottery all but one yr in 5 yrs. They were 18th. Which means just what I said. Tge bulls had nothing to play for. So could have easily given Williams mins to trade him. I am a truth teller. Yes I use google dime tines. Now you hot the URLs so look it up…
So what I said about Williams is TRUE ….
And so you don’t get mixed up ….
Bulls record ———
2025 — 39-43 lottery team
2024 — 38-43 lottery team
2023 — 40-42 lottery team
2022 — 46-36 finished as 18 seed 4 soits from lottery.
2021 — 31-41 lottery team
I might make mistakes. I might even get a search wrong. But I stand by what I say. My philosophy on takes is my opinion. I don’t make bs up to help my takes. So please man. This ain’t a contest. Don’t be like raz and go nuclear cause I disagree. Opinions are mine alone. Facts are there for all of us to look up. You can’t stand Willians. Yet you want to defend Bulls on not trading him.
Wolves don’t wanna trade Conley? No wonder some teams won’t ever win…too stubborn management.
Yeah, I get it from a locker room standpoint but his playing days are over. Just like why on earth did we re-sign Ingles? Made zero sense. That dude has no business being on the floor. Watched him trying ad dribble the ball up the court and I’m pretty sure my 3-year old great nephew could have done as good of a job. lol. We’re going to have to give up something to get something. I’d love for us to get Coby or Tre if we can.
As far as Ant goes, I can only assume his foot is bothering him even more than he’s letting on. Up until this season he’s been as tough as anyone. Rarely has missed games even when it was obvious that he had been shaken up. I’m thinking that is what’s causing his defensive shortcomings lately. Hoping he heals up quickly.
Coby on this team. Helps everyone get better looks. At 25 he can be here for next 5 yrs. Another ball handler is what AE needs. I just see him as a perfect fit. Minny should do all they can to get him.
Any deal for Dosunmu would also need to include PWill, otherwise, no deal
Trade them. Collect picks. I understand they’re actually close to the 5/6 seed, but they just are NOT good.
Also, it doesn’t really matter. If they get players back, they’ll get hurt or be played in the wrong position. If they get picks, it’ll be second round picks in 2080. Who cares
They get hurt because THEY ARE playing in the wrong positions. You’re exactly right.
Everyone loves Conley, but the Wolves have virtually no assets outside of their core. Conleys expiring contract is one of the few things of value they have to offer.
