Joel Embiid will officially return to play for the Sixers in tonight’s game against the Bulls, Derek Bodner of PHLY Sports notes (Twitter link).
Embiid was upgraded to questionable yesterday as he continued his progress back from an oblique strain that has kept him sidelined since late February. Paul George is also set to return after the 25-game suspension served for violating the league’s anti-drug policy.
Philadelphia has struggled to find its rhythm with both George and Embiid in the lineup this season, going just 10-9, but they will now have 10 games together to try to find their postseason footing. They’re currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 39-33, and are 1.5 games behind the fifth-seed Raptors.
Making the playoffs outright and allowing their older stars to rest before games kick off would likely be beneficial to the Sixers’ playoff hopes.

Not sure why they think coming back for 10 games will make them go on a deep playoff run. They are done until George or embiid leave
What are they supposed to do? They’re 8.5 games up on Chicago and Milwaukee for a play in spot with 10 games left.
