Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has been fined $50K and Timberwolves forward Julius Randle has been fined $35K following an altercation that occurred in the final seconds of the Wolves’ Game 4 victory on Saturday, the NBA announced (via Twitter).
As the game wound down with the Wolves’ victory firmly decided, Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels finished a fast-break dunk, which Jokic took exception to. The Nuggets’ star grabbed and shoved McDaniels, earning the more significant fine from the NBA due to the fact that he instigated the incident.
Randle’s penalty as a result of his response, according to the press release, which states that he “escalated the incident by forcefully inserting himself into the scrum and shoving Nuggets guard/forward Bruce Brown.”
Both players were ejected from the game, though – as ESPN’s Anthony Slater notes (via Twitter) – neither was issued a suspension.

Naw Nuggets had ball with 17 seconds they could have ran the clock out just like 76ers did. They instead had Murray shoot a 3 to get Jokic a triple double. They can’t whine when they took a shot when they felt game was over they talking out both sides their mouth.

Yup, plus fouling the Wolves with under 30 seconds when the game is over. They can’t have it both ways. I’ve never really understood that ‘unwritten rule’. Even when it’s against the Wolves. Another few points really doesn’t matter. IMO

He did it knowing Jokic would react and got the reaction he wanted out of Jokic
If silver had any backbone Jokic would be suspended a game and down 3-1 getting suspended would significantly hurt the nuggets chances missing Jokic

For what? He scored a field goal during regulation. Jokic ran over to lecture him. Nobody needed to get a suspensioin.
For what?
1. Running up bumping pushing another player
2. Starting an on court incident
3. Not stopping despite refs coaches players pulling him away
Definitely suspension worthy cause Jokic lost his cool over “unspoken rules” McDaniels did nothing wrong except violate some made up imaginary rules.
I was referring to McDaniels. Nobody threw any punches. Randle would have if could have. Losing one’s cool is not cause for a suspension.

Jokic is one of the three best players in the NBA, if not the best, and is an incredible talent. There has never been a 5 with his skillset. That he also needs to be the enforcer on the Nugs is ridiculous, but he does whatever it takes. I don’t even know why anyone on here would dis him, but I shouldn’t be surprised.
I do want to see the next game now lol.
If you are a fan of the game it is a “must see.” I hope it is good basketball and not just a bunch of bs posturing. I’m sure they will all be trying to trigger the other team.
I’ve been impressed with the Wolves. I’m not a big fan of Randle, but the team has an identity and they are clicking.
Nuggets haven’t played to their potential, so we’ll see what they do with their backs against the wall. Like Rudy T said: “never underestimate the heart of a champion.”
Jokic has to bust out this game. Going to be tough for Minny. Missing two top guys. Not easy winning three straight gms. Rudy has been holding Jokic. They will need offense from him now. Imo TWolves can win one gm. Just not this next one lol.
