The Bulls, who pivoted to rebuilding mode after being eliminated in the play-in tournament in three straight years from 2023-25, and the Spurs, who went from 34 wins a year ago to 62 this season, appear headed in opposite directions. But the two organizations do have one thing in common — they’re the only two teams in the NBA who control more than three picks in this year’s draft.
Chicago, which moved up to No. 4 as a result of Sunday’s draft lottery, also controls the 15th, 38th, and 56th picks. San Antonio has just one first-rounder at No. 20, but its other three picks – Nos. 35, 42, and 44 – are in the top half of the second round.
Besides the Spurs and Bulls, nine other teams own more than the typical two picks, and several of those clubs have at least one top-10 selection. The Wizards, Grizzlies, Clippers, Nets, Kings, Hawks, and Mavericks each have three selections, including one in the top nine. The Thunder and Knicks are the other two clubs who control three 2026 picks.
Those 11 teams own a combined 35 picks in June’s draft, while eight others control two apiece and nine more have one each. That means there are just two teams without a pick this year: the Pacers and Trail Blazers. Both teams had protected first-rounders, but Portland sacrificed its lottery-protected pick when it earned a playoff spot, while Indiana had a worst possible outcome in the lottery, as its top-four protected pick fell to No. 5.
To present a clearer picture of which teams are most – and least – stocked with picks for the 2026 NBA draft, we’ve rounded up all 60 selections by team in the space below. Let’s dive in…

At 22 for sixers I really like Peat from Zona. He can do a lot of different things. 6ft 8 in 235lbs(he has the body to add more weight). Love his athletic ability. His biggest issue is he can’t shoot. That’s a area he will need to work on
Yep, on the one hand it would be nice to have a player expected to be taken in the top 20 to drop to you. On the other hand though you wonder why he dropped.
Kenneth Faried
A classic tweener
Thunder should use 12, 17, and 37 (and future picks if necessary) to trade up.
1. They cant keep everyone they draft
2. Next two years free agents
After this year – 0 but Hartenstein and Dort have club options who may/may not be picked up
After next year – Joe, Jaylin Williams, Topic (possibly declined), Sorber (possibly declined), McCain, Mitchell have club options
They’re pretty much set roster wise for the next 3 years and could take a risk trading up.
They could take Yaxel and Mara and be in good shape.
Thunder also have Sorber and Topic coming back next year. I would trade for Giannis.
Yaxel and Mara are definitely two players they would be interested in. Thunder got options lols.
A Thunder beat writer just suggested OKC trade #12, #17, two future 1sts and either Mitchell or McCain to the Bulls for #4. That would be a hard offer for Graham to turn down.
I mean that package you could probably move up to 3 with Memphis who already have 16 and 32
Thunder walk away with Boozer
But Memphis could walk away with
12 Memphis takes Lendenborg PF replaces JJJ
16 Memphis takes Chris Cenac Jr to man C alongside Edey
17 Memphis takes Allan Graves 6-8 wing from Santa Clara
32 they take Otega Oweh G Kentucky
37 they take Fletcher Loyer who could turn into a 3-D guy
Grab Mitchell to replace Bane
Memphis has a nice young core to work with around Morant after 1 draft
Plus future picks to work with too
That’s not bad. Either Wilson or Boozer makes this team ridiculously good. For years man.
Knicks with 24, 31, 55. I like it for this draft.
At 24 I am hoping Johnson Jr from Michigan to be there. He is the 4 we desperately need. If he is gone i like to get a shooter. Then at 31 get Zuby from St Johns another active 4. A big defensive PF that rebounds. Is what Knicks need most.
The NYK FO needs to get over its draft phobia, and start drafting players (on its own) that will matter longer term. No more endless trading down and out of draft picks. No more hiding behind the payroll as an excuse for getting a subpar player or dumb 1 year deals for 2nd round projects. If there isn’t any real talent evaluation going on there, at least pretend.
I get that they have 3 not-so-great picks, but it’s only going to get worse next year (no 1st rounder), so they can’t have another token effort. They need to get some young talent that can contribute in relatively short order.
Thibs bailed the FO out for Quickley, Grimes and McBride, none of whom the FO really wanted. Brown doesn’t double as a talent evaluator. Only as a PR man. So they’re on their own.
