Minor Moves: Songaila, Wright, Graham, Williams

We'll keep tabs on the day's notable international or D-League-related transactions here:

  • Darius Songaila, an eight-year NBA veteran who played 10 games for the 76ers last season, has signed with Spanish team CB Valladolid, tweets Sportando.
  • Former NBA players Antoine Wright and Stephen Graham have joined D-League teams, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter). Wright will play for Reno while Graham is heading to Fort Wayne.
  • The Mavericks have re-assigned Sean Williams to their D-League affiliate, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. Williams had been recalled from the Texas Legends earlier this month.

Minor Moves: Lee, Joseph, Wright

We'll keep tabs on today's international and D-League-related transactions of note here:

  • Malcolm Lee has been recalled from Sioux Falls by the Timberwolves, tweets Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune. Lee, who has yet to make his NBA debut, was assigned to Minnesota's D-League affiliate for the second time last Wednesday.
  • The Spurs have recalled Cory Joseph from their D-League affiliate in Austin, tweets Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News. Joseph, who was assigned to the Toros less than a week ago, returns to San Antonio following T.J. Ford's neck injury.
  • Former NBA veteran Antoine Wright has joined the D-League in hopes of returning to the NBA, tweets Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Wright, a 15th overall pick in 2005, played for the Nets, Mavericks, Raptors, and Kings, last appearing in the NBA in November 2010. The 28-year-old averaged 5.4 PPG in 297 career games.

Clippers Re-Sign Bobby Simmons

The Clippers have signed Bobby Simmons to a second 10-day contract, tweets Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times. Turner had reported earlier this week that the Clips expected to re-sign Simmons when his initial 10-day deal expired.

Simmons, who won the NBA's Most Improved Player award in 2004/05 with the Clippers, joined the team last Monday on a 10-day contract. In his six games for the Clippers, the 31-year-old has averaged 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 18 minutes.

If the Clippers want to retain Simmons when his second 10-day expires, they'll have to guarantee his contract for the rest of the season.

Hornets Sign Jeff Foote To 10-Day Contract

The Hornets have signed center Jeff Foote to a 10-day contract, according to Jim Eichenhofer of Hornets.com (via Twitter). Foote will replace Solomon Jones on the roster, after New Orleans decided not to sign Jones for the rest of the season when his second 10-day deal expired.

Foote, 24, was a training camp invitee for the Trail Blazers in December, but didn't make the team. The former Cornell big man has spent the season playing for the D-League's Springfield Armor, averaging 14.8 PPG and 8.6 RPG in 29 games.

David Pick of Eurobasket.com first reported that the Hornets would bring Foote aboard, while John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune added that it would be a 10-day signing.

Nets Re-Sign Gerald Green

The Nets have officially re-signed Gerald Green to a second 10-day contract, tweets Colin Stephenson of the Star-Ledger.

Fresh off an MVP performance in the D-League's All-Star Game, Green signed with the Nets last Monday. In his brief stint with New Jersey, the 26-year-old has averaged 18.6 minutes per contest, with double-digit scoring in his first two games with the team.

Given all the injury problems New Jersey has faced over the course of the season, Green should continue to provide valuable depth and minutes in place of sidelined players like Damion James, Shawne Williams, and Keith Bogans. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Nets sign the former first-round pick for the rest of the season when his second 10-day contract expires.

GM Billy King first told Andy Vazquez of the Bergen Record on Tuesday that the Nets would re-sign Green (Twitter link).

Leon Powe Signs In Puerto Rico

For NBA teams in need of size and depth, another big man is off the market. Leon Powe has officially signed with Puerto Rico's Atleticos de San German, the team announced today (hat tip to Sportando).

Powe, 28, hadn't played for an NBA team this year, but appeared in 30 games for the Cavaliers and Grizzlies in 2010/11. Powe also spent three seasons with the Celtics, and was part of the Boston squad that defeated the Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals. In 239 career contests, the 6'8" forward has averaged 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game.

The Bulls were said to be eyeing Powe earlier this season as a potential backup plan if Joel Przybilla signed elsewhere. However, even after Przybilla inked a deal with the Blazers, Chicago didn't make a move for Powe.

Minor Moves: Gadzuric, Cavs, Ford, Tyler, Cousin

We'll keep tabs on all of Tuesday's notable international and D-League-related moves right here:

  • Less than a week after signing with the D-League, Dan Gadzuric has already been traded, and will join the Texas Legends, tweets Scott Schroeder of Ridiculous Upside.
  • The Cavaliers have assigned Christian Eyenga and Luke Harangody to the Canton Charge, the team's D-League affiliate, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer (Twitter link). It's the second D-League assignment this season for both players.
  • Having finished his one-day stint with the Austin Toros, T.J. Ford has been recalled by the Spurs, the team announced today. Ford is returning from a torn left hamstring that has sidelined him for all but ten games this season.
  • The Warriors have recalled Jeremy Tyler from their D-League affiliate, the team announced in a press release. Tyler played five games for the Dakota Wizards during his assignment, averaging 15.6 points and 7.8 rebounds in 28.8 minutes per game.
  • Marcus Cousin, not to be confused with DeMarcus Cousins, has signed with Venezuela's Guaiqueries de Margarita, according to Sportando. The 6'11" Cousin appeared in four games with the Jazz last season.

Minor Moves: Leslie, Jordan, Ely, Hayward

Here are today's notable international and D-League-related transactions:

  • Travis Leslie has been assigned to the D-League by the Clippers, according to Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles. The Clips' second-round pick has played in just eight games this season.
  • The Knicks announced that they've assigned Jerome Jordan to their D-League affiliate in Erie, tweets Zach Lowe of SI.com. The return of Josh Harrellson made the decision a no-brainer, says Marc Berman of the New York Post (on Twitter).
  • Another former NBA player signed in Puerto Rico, as Melvin Ely joined Brujos de Guayama, according to Sportando. Ely, the 12th overall pick in the 2002 draft, played 12.2 MPG in 30 contests for the Nuggets last season.
  • The Thunder have assigned Lazar Hayward to their D-League affiliate in Tulsa, according to the team (Twitter link). Hayward, who has appeared in 12 games for Oklahoma City this season, suffered a fractured orbital floor on his left eye last month.
  • Craig Brackins has been recalled from the D-League by the 76ers, according to a team press release. The 24-year-old was assigned to the Maine Red Claws on February 7th, and averaged 18.9 points and 9.3 rebounds in seven games with the club.

Cavs Re-Sign Manny Harris

The Cavs have re-signed Manny Harris to a second 10-day contract, according to the team. Harris signed with the Cavs on February 21st, meaning his deal expired yesterday.

A good portion of Harris' first 10-day deal was chewed up by the All-Star break, and in the games the Cavs did play, Harris only saw six seconds of action (Tuesday against Boston). The 22-year-old had been averaging 21.4 PPG and 7.9 RPG for the D-League's Canton Charge this season, having twice been named the League's Performer of the Week.

Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal first reported Cleveland would re-sign Harris. If the Cavs want to keep the 6'5" guard past March 11th, they'd need to sign him for the remainder of the season.

Atlantic Notes: Celtics, Green, Elson, Humphries

No Atlantic teams are in action tonight, but we have a few links from out of the division to round up….

  • The Celtics are very active in trade discussions, and HoopsWorld's Alex Kennedy's sources expect the club to make a deal in the next couple weeks (Twitter link).
  • Currently playing on a 10-day contract, Gerald Green has a decent chance to stick with the Nets for the remainder of the season, says Colin Stephenson of the Star-Ledger. I provided an update on this season's 10-day deals earlier today.
  • While it wasn't reported at the time, Francisco Elson appears to have signed a pair of 10-day contracts with the 76ers, according to the team's game notes (PDF link). HoopsHype reported today that the team has waived Elson, but I believe it's just a matter of his second 10-day deal, signed on February 21st, expiring.
  • Tom Ziller of SB Nation explores whether or not the Celtics should trade Rajon Rondo in the next two weeks.
  • Reports of Kris Humphries having returned to agent Dan Fegan are premature, says Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News (via Twitter). The Nets forward is leaning toward Fegan, but is currently without representation.
