Atlantic Notes: Deron Williams, Prigioni, Celtics

While optimists in Dallas believe that the chances of signing Deron Williams are 50-50, Ken Berger of CBS Sports writes that the Mavericks are becoming increasingly worried that their prized free agent target will re-sign with the Nets. On Sunday, we mentioned that Brooklyn can offer a $100 MM extension over five years, whereas Dallas can offer $75 MM over four.  Here are more of this evening's rumblings out of the Atlantic Division…

  • 35-year-old Spanish point guard Pablo Prigioni says he will wait for the Knicks to contact him after they "take care of some situations", but added that his first option is to remain with Caja Laboral of the ACB Spanish league (according to a translation from HoopsHype).
  • Ben Rohrback of WEEI.com provides a list of shooting guards that the Celtics could target in free agency this summer.
  • In this video from CSNNE.com, Doc Rivers spoke highly of Kevin Garnett as a consummate teammate and will remain positive about the possibility of the former MVP returning for an 18th season.
  • While it appears that Ray Allen may be on his way out of Boston, it remains to be seen where he will end up, says Sean Deveney of The Sporting News
