Latest On Deron Williams
This summer's free agent class has something in common with the draft class — it's not obvious who the second-best available player will be, but everyone knows which guy will be the top choice. In the draft, that's Anthony Davis, while in free agency, it's Deron Williams. We know Davis is ticketed for New Orleans, but where will Williams land? ESPN.com's Chris Broussard shares a few updates on this year's top free agent in his latest Insider-only piece, so let's dive in….
Woelfel On Bucks, Raptors, Ross, Fournier
As teams continue to host players for workouts in the days leading up to the draft, the Bucks are having trouble getting all the prospects they want to see to come to Milwaukee, writes Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal Times. Although the Bucks have worked out a handful of big men that interest them, they haven't been able to host Austin Rivers, Terrence Ross, Dion Waiters, Jeremy Lamb, Damian Lillard, and Jared Sullinger. Woelfel suggests some of these players are confident they'll be drafted by the time Milwaukee picks at No. 12, while others, particularly the guards, don't view the Bucks as a good fit based on the team's current roster.
Here are a few more notes from Woelfel's piece, including additional items on Lamb and Ross….
Buss: Lakers Not Expecting Major Moves
Since the Lakers were bounced in the second round of the playoffs by the Thunder, chatter in Los Angeles has centered around speculation that a shake-up is coming, perhaps involving a Pau Gasol trade. However, speaking to T.J. Simers of the Los Angeles Times, Lakers vice president of player personnel Jim Buss said the odds are "very good" that Gasol, Kobe Bryant, and Andrew Bynum will all be wearing Lakers uniforms in the fall.
Robert Pera’s Bid For Grizzlies Not In Danger
WEDNESDAY, 8:20am: According to Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley, the Forbes report suggesting another bidder is in play is not accurate, writes Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
"There is no other deal on the table," Heisley said. "We’re working with Pera and we have no reason to believe he won’t perform."
TUESDAY, 2:24pm: If Pera's worth slips further and he's eventually forced to drop his bid for the Grizzlies, a second buyer is in position to step in, reports Mike Ozanian of Forbes. According to the Forbes report, a group of local businessmen has prepared an offer of "a little less than $350MM" for the franchise in case Pera's bid falls through.

Kupchak On Sessions, Offseason
Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak held a conference call with team beat writers this evening to offer his thoughts on Ramon Sessions' decision to opt-out of the final year of his contract and other offseason topics. Among those present was Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, who tweeted that Kupchack's preference would have been for Sessions to pick up his player option for next year. As we mentioned earlier, the team still owns Ramon's bird rights and will not have to use their mid-level exception if they choose to re-sign him. Trudell released the full transcript of Kupchak's comments, and here are some highlights..
Free Agent Stock Watch: Jeff Green
An NBA agent is expected to create a market for his players, so it's not uncommon to see an agent speak overly optimistically, if not hyperbolically, about one of his clients. Long-time NBA player rep David Falk displayed that sort of optimism this week, when he discussed client Jeff Green, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer after recovering from heart surgery.
"With the possible exception of Deron Williams, I think that Jeff will probably be the No. 1 unrestricted free agent on the market," Falk told SI.com's Sam Amick. "It's not like we have LeBron [James] and [Dwyane] Wade and all these guys floating around. I'd be very surprised if Deron Williams winds up anywhere besides Dallas or [Brooklyn]. So the next guy in the pecking order is Jeff Green."
Odds & Ends: Knicks, Shaw, Celtics, Seattle
The NBA TV's recent "Dream Team" documentary revisited the developments that earned NBA players the right to compete in the Olympics 20 years ago, something that continues today. But there's a chance that the 2012 games in London will be the last time the Association's biggest stars participate in Olympic play. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, David Stern and the league are pushing for an under-23 Olympic team, with NBA players only participating in a rebranded world championships, called the World Cup of Basketball. A World Cup would allow the NBA to benefit finanically from letting its players play internationally, Wojnarowski explains.
Here are a few more Tuesday odds and ends from around the NBA:
