Mavs Sign Tyrell Terry To Four-Year Deal

DECEMBER 1: The Mavericks have made it official with Terry, the team announced today (via Twitter).

NOVEMBER 27: The Mavericks are expected to give a four-year contract to rookie guard Tyrell Terry, Tim MacMahon of ESPN tweets.

MacMahon anticipates a pact similar to the four-year, $6.1MM contract that Dallas handed Jalen Brunson prior to his rookie year in 2018.

Terry was the first pick in the second round of this month’s draft. Terry averaged 14.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 3.2 APG and 1.4 SPG in his lone year with Stanford.

Dallas is signing small forward Tyler Bey, who was taken five picks after Terry, to a two-way contract.

Terry might b the steal of the draft honestly. He’s got the potential to b a high level shooter off the bench to start his career. And could possibly form a starting backcourt with Luka if he can prove to b able to defend the point.

Some people are saying that Nico Mannion, with the 48th pick, was the steal of the draft. But, I guess we will find out in a few seasons who excelled the most.

Probably just Warriors fans are saying that. Although with Curry’s lack of durability he make end up playing quite a bit.

Is Marc J Spears, writer for The Athletic, a Warriors fan? It depends on how he takes to the system. Wanamaker, and Poole, are above him on the depth chart.
