Hawks shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic has been cleared to play in tonight’s opener of the Eastern Conference finals, tweets Malika Andrews of ESPN. He had been listed as questionable because of soreness in his right knee and was a game-time decision.
Bogdanovic, who is in the playoffs for the first time in his four-year career, has been an effective weapon for Atlanta. He averaged 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the first round against the Knicks and posted a 13.3/3.9/1.7 line in the seven-game series with the Sixers.
Small forward Cam Reddish will return to the lineup after missing the past four months with right Achilles soreness, tweets Tim Bontemps of ESPN. Reddish returned to practice early this month, but he hasn’t appeared in a game since February 21.
Coach Nate McMillan made the announcement in a pre-game session with reporters, but said there’s no guarantee Reddish will see any action, adds Sarah K. Spencer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (via Twitter). McMillan noted that Solomon Hill and Tony Snell are ahead of him in the rotation and said the team will be careful with Reddish whenever he plays.
In his second NBA season, Reddish averaged 11.2 points and 4.0 rebounds through 26 games before being sidelined with the Achilles issue.
With the drama of last offseason, it’s a real shame we can’t see the Bogdan v Donte direct match up this series.
Bogdan is killing us. Tray is doing it all while this supposed to be offensive help is shooting nothing but bricks. No help whatsoever!!!

Gallinari played his best series in 10 years against the 6ers (tho he has not played that many), and he looks poised now. There was a lot of nervous energy on the floor. Bogdans still is not getting it done.

I cannot help thinking that Ayton scored the crucial alley-oop yesterday, Trae poured in 48 points today and Luka can only watch it on TV. Whatever that means.

Capela not getting enough love. Gino did have 34…but I still feel like Capela battled and held his own. He had some big stops and of course the rebounding was key.

Folks FINALLY waking up & realizing how good these Hawks are. I love to see it. We’d be much better if we had a healthy Dre, Cam & Bogi but the last 2 games have shown that we’re strong enough to win big games (even on the road) with Trae/John/Clint/Kev leading the way. If we can get Solo &/or TSnell to knock down treys similar to how they shot in the regular season then we can def shake up the league & bring a title to Marietta Street this summer
NBA needs to give a technical foul to players like Trae for all the taunting. Did he really need to show off with that little shake before a 3 pointer. Such a cocky player and yes I’m bitter Knicks lost to him. The NFL got rid of taunting after a great play. The NBA should do the same
NBA ain’t ’bout sports, is all ’bout entertainment & putting on the best show on the court… now you wanna stop that, man lighten up, taunting is what makes amazing moments that we remember forever (like Mutombo’s not in my house, finger wagging)
