Magic guard Markelle Fultz announced that he’ll return to action on Monday, the team’s PR department tweets.
Fultz will be making his season debut after rehabbing from an ACL injury to his left knee suffered early last season. He had been practicing off and on with the team since December and is finally return to step on the court again. He appeared in just eight games last season but suffering the tear in early January 2021.
Fultz’s three-year, $50MM contract extension kicked in at the beginning of this season.
The Magic already have some young pieces in the backcourt in Cole Anthony, Jalen Suggs and R.J. Hampton, so it will be interesting to see how Fultz, the top pick in the 2017 draft, will fit in for the remainder of this season. Hampton returned to action on Friday after missing 14 games due to a knee sprain.

I can see the B team in NYC known as the Knicks kick their tires on either Fultz or Anthony for future PG purposes. 3/50M isn’t bad and he’s still young enough to make an impact as a starter for the Knicks.
I’m sure Orlando would have interest in Cam Reddish. Maybe something like Fournier, Cam & a 2nd for Fultz & Ross…

Knic already have a PG handful to try out… It is kind of what they spent the last draft on.
Magic have 3 good young PG’s. I’m not saying they’ll all be superstars but all three can easily be a starting piece in the league. With RJ a solid backup.
They’re in a similar position as Kings were, trying to shoehorn them all in hamper all of their development. Any of Cole, Fultz or Suggs could get a good return. I see a nice trade in the near future.
I agree, and this positive news here gives them some more tape (22 games) to better evaluate and potentially drive up some values
Im curious how they will dance besides the cap in the next couple years- They really got burned the last decade by the cap monster. We might be seeing a real slow burn here w this current Orl team
