D’Angelo Russell has an expiring $31.4MM contract, but the Timberwolves guard doesn’t want to dwell on becoming a free agent after the season, he told Kent Youngblood of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
“Nothing changes,” he said. “You see guys approaching a contract year and doing it incorrectly and it becomes magnified if you’re doing it incorrectly. You might not be going about things the right way or ways you would be going about it if it wasn’t a contract year. I try to keep it consistent, my approach.”

Guess that destroys the “SGA wants to be traded” rumors. Yet people will keep floating out dumb trade proposals for him on here thinking he’s disgruntled.
Of course doesn’t want to be traded. Dude is about to be the primary player on a team for 2-3 years. That’s gonna earn you a pretty good second contract.

D’Angelo Russell ain’t nothing I would want on my team. He’s a snitch. He’s a defensive liability. He’s highly inefficient. Then he’s not a leader.
Oklahoma City Thunder about a year away from starting to win. They will need Chet Holmgren back first. SGA needs to focus on being healthy and having a great season.
Nikola Jokic should definitely spend his whole career with the Denver Nuggets. Michael Malone knows the defense have to be better if they want to win a championship. Bruce Brown and
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will definitely improve their defense. They both can guard three positions at a high level.
Wolves could send DLo, Prince, NYK 2nd for Rozier and Tsunami. Adds some depth at the wing, nothing lost at PG.
