Jonathan Kuminga is expected to be available on Monday after missing the Warriors‘ win over the Suns on Saturdaydue to an illness, reports The Athletic’s Nick Friedell (Twitter link).
Friedell notes that Kuminga was at Golden State’s film session on Sunday. The 23-year-old forward has only played in one of the Warriors’ previous five games, as he has been in and out of coach Steve Kerr‘s rotation even when he’s active.
Friedell adds that Al Horford and Seth Curry are still out with back and glute injuries, respectively.
Horford has only played 13 games this season, his first with Golden State, and has suited up for two of the team’s last 13 contests. He’s averaging career lows in points and rebounds.
Curry has played just two games since joining the Warriors on December 1. He scored 14 points in just under 18 minutes in his season debut, but was held scoreless in his second outing.
We have more injury news from around the league:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out with the calf strain that has kept him sidelined since early December, but he participated in the Bucks‘ shootaround before Sunday’s contest against the Timberwolves, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic (Twitter video link). Head coach Doc Rivers previously stated that the team would be cautious with their star forward’s recovery process, but this marked a step in the right direction for the two-time MVP.
- Jalen Suggs is listed as questionable for the Magic‘s game against the Warriors on Monday due to a left hip contusion, notes Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel (via Twitter). Suggs has missed the team’s last two games due to the injury. Beede adds that Tristan Da Silva is questionable with a shoulder contusion.
- Mavericks rookie forward Cooper Flagg is questionable for Monday’s game against the Pelicans with a back contusion, writes Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News (Twitter link). The No. 1 overall pick has been on a hot streak of late, averaging 27.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.8 blocks over his last four games. Curtis adds that Klay Thompson (left knee soreness), Max Christie (illness), and two-way players Moussa Cisse and Miles Kelly are all questionable for the game as well.
- Dereck Lively II underwent successful surgery on his right foot, the Mavericks announced via their team Twitter account. It was reported on December 10 that Lively would undergo season-ending surgery to address ongoing discomfort in the foot. The operation was performed in London.

You would think Miles Kelly would want to p play
Warriors should sign LBJ this off season……please, please do.
That would be nuts. Kind of like that movie The Bucket List, or Space Cowboys where the old guys get together and conquer. They’ll need to invest in some extra quantities of ibuprofen.
Warriors passed on this Center in draft. I guess he couldn’t help. Well he helped Kings beat Rockets tonight. 36 mins, 12 pts, 14 reb …..
Maxime Raynaud ….. a 22 yr old rookie. Who picked up basketball late in life. Big mistake imo.
‘Big mistake’
Do you know how drafting works? Do you know how drafting works in the 2nd round in particular? What are you talking about?
For somebody who claims they know NBA basketball you should now better than ‘they passed on X what a mistake’.
A 22 y.o. rather unremarkable player who went in the 2nd round. Yeah, sure, what a ‘mistake’.
Why don’t you explain it to us. Pretty simple to me. You know the players in the draft. You select for need in second round. Unless there is someone you have scouted well. And he drops.
We all know Warriors don’t need a center. Especially one who can give you mins this year. lmao
40. Wizards draft Micah Peavy (Georgetown) – Traded to Pelicans
41. Warriors draft Koby Brea (Kentucky) – Traded to Suns
42. Kings draft Maxime Raynaud (Stanford)
43. Wizards draft Jamir Watkins (Florida State)
They didn’t pass on this guy.
52. Suns draft Alex Toohey (Sydney Kings) – Traded to Warriors
Then were smart to pick up another 22 yr old rookie in this guy.
56. Grizzlies draft Will Richard (Florida) – Traded to Warriors
The only unremarkable thing here is your knowledge of talent. He actually dropped to them. Cause he should have been gone already. That age thing sometimes works against players. He is actually a great fit for this Warrior team. He’s an IQ big who understands his role and limitations. And they passed on him. Class is over lol

2nd round guys are in the 2nd round for a reason. Draft positions are what they are for a reason. Cam Whitmore was picked in the 20s for a reason. Raynauld went in the 2nd round for a reason.
A team not picking someone who ends up being an excellent player is not a massive mistake or anything like that.
I expect to find dumb comments like “Raynauld should have gone higher, he’s a baller” or “GSW should have picked Haliburton in 2020, Wiseman pick should get everybody fired” under ESPN videos on youtube, not on this forum.
You have good knowledge and understanding of what is going on in NYK, I respect that. But some of your comments on other topics are cliche, boring and shallow. Like this revisionist hindsight stuff.
What are you a clown. You think I need a lesson on the draft. I have forgotten more ball than you will know. Talent is talent no natter where you find it. Go look up how many 2nd rd picks became starters even HOFers.
Raynaud is a Center a position of need for Warriors. He happens to be a solid pick for them considering his type of game. Go read his scouting report. I can tell by just watching him play. Considering what he is doing NOW. It shows he could have given Warriors big man mins. 16-20 mins of big man D and rebounding would be huge for Warriors. They are searching for bigs now. Al is hurting and he is not a center. I have been saying it for yrs. Warriors should add a rim protector. Doesn’t take a genius to say they can add a big on a 15 man roster.
The Warriors passed on a decent even solid CENTER prospect. A position of need. If you don’t understand that. You are a wannabe….
Next time you disagree try explaining yourself. Cause calling me names. Is only going to bring misery to you. You get two chances with me.
That’s right. ‘What he is doing NOW.’ In the NBA.
You’re just trying to look clever by making points in hindsight.
Thats your opinion. But if you search the web, HooosRumors. You will read my thoughts on this pick. Cause I said it on draft night. Like I have for last ten yrs. I don’t talk unless I have some kind of proof. I do my homework on the draft. For years. I’m not always right. But only wannabees look at it that way, like your nonsense . You don’t Fn know me. I’m just a guy who follows ball. And has an eye, good track record on talent. I apologize for knowing more than you.

Raynaud didn’t pick up basketball late in life. He was on the under-16 French National team in 2019. You don’t get on a National team by just walking off the street.
I know you can’t handle the truth. Instead of trying to prove me wrong for the 100th time. And failing. You should search his story. All he can do is help your team. And for this you want to make me look bad. I know you can’t see what I see. But by now. You should know I am an honest man who talks ball, knows ball. I follow it and lived it. I rarely talk about a player I haven’t checked out. And some players I know better than others. I will say it. Doesn’t take a genius to say Raynaud was a good pick for Warriors. Fact it gets peoples panties in a twist. Is really confusing.
I started playing at six yrs old. I know pro players from my area that all started under 10 yrs old. Do you know when Curry started ?????
I read a story about Raynaud. When I was checking him out before the draft. That’s my source. The story is he didn’t get serious about ball till 15-16. He was growing so makes sense to play ball. Happens more than you think with bigs. Cause they get size late in teen yrs. That’s why he stayed in college 4 yrs. He was smart enough to know he needing coaching and development.
Talent knows talent ……..

Raynaud was a 7 foot tall 16 year on the 16 & under French National team in 2019. He obviously had been playing quite a few years.
He actually played professionally one season before he went to Stanford.
He is not particularly skilled defensively and was considered more of a project. Why do the warriors need to projects at center.
Early Days in Paris:
Initial Sport: Raynaud was a swimmer, focusing on backstroke, but his mother suggested he try a team sport in middle school.
First Taste: He joined a small club and played with regional selections, discovering he loved the sport around his 13th or 14th birthday.

what about the other 30 teams that passed on him? just like the 30 teams that passed on Will Richards or all the teams that passed on Spencer. Stats are different when you are playing on the worse team in the west. Teams also find a players weakness once they start playing well and then they are back to be a bench player.
Why are you so defensive. It’s your team. They had him and passed. What does it have to do with 29 other teams. Lord help you.
why are you so triggered that you post here to put down and complain about a team you hate? I am just posting facts. You obviously hate the warriors.
16 is late ……. NBA players come in at 18-19 yrs old. Do you read what you post. Or you use toilet paper …….. lmao.
Kerr: “If Al and Seth weren’t injured we would win the Title.” OK, I made that up obviously. But that Richard and Spencer are behind Hield and Podz doesn’t seem like a winning way to go about a rotation…
I think he’s honestly waiting until they trade JK in January. Feels like a few of his rotational decisions are to see how much these players can play and with whom.
Curry is about to request a trade.
Naw, he’s got a year left on his contract and will be a UFA. It’ll be interesting to see if he signed another extension and/or just lets the market play out.
“Trade me to Milwaukee with Giannis” – Curry soon
Since my critics here were at the draft with me. Cause I just looked it up. It Shows how far posters will go to lie about someone they don’t like. Or should I say someone who knows what he talks about. And they can’t handle that. I am not always right. I don’t care about that. Only the wannabees do. I express my true feelings. I take this game seriously.
For the WANNABEES ……. with short memories.

Any real Center Warriors can add is a plus……. Only you talk NBA ready ….
Raynaud is a player who started playing ball late in life. He is stll learning the game really. He is ready to help next year. More important he has upside and fits their offense. This is why they have blown all their top picks. They take a guard they don’t need. Raynaud as a trade asset is even more important and valuable than any pick at this point. A position of need. Only fools pass on that in 2nd rd …. You really should know who he is. You see what Edey has done. This guy is more advanced offensively. Players who started playing late in life like Edey and Reynaud. Learn fast and progress faster. Another missed opportunity ……

How many times have you told me no one plays D in nba. Now your a D guy. D is the easiest thing to teach and coach. Your right why would you go to Warriors for that. You just make sure you watch him develop in Sacramento.

When did I tell you that? The Warriors didn’t get into the playoffs last year based on their shooting. That is laughable if you think that. Where do you get the idea it is the easiest thing to teach.

We are talking about a Center prospect. Why is it a big deal for any of you. The Warriors can use help at Center. And you want to insult me cause I showed you one. Not the first team to miss. Won’t be the last

This for — Giants74 ……. seems he needs a lesson.
I know when it comes to me. There are a few posters here. Who only want to flame the situation with me. Yet in reality they show their non-basketball knowledge. Considering most times I am just showing them a way for their team to get better.
And I guess — they think I can’t do that. I know there are trolls here. I’m not one of them. You don’t have to agree with me. You can be assured I am giving you a good take. Cause I actually care about this game. And I am NOT a negative person like more than half the posters on here. Or a hater.
So — Giants74 says — to me
“ Where do you get the idea it is the easiest thing to teach.”
Defense is the easiest thing to teach cause it’s all about positioning. You don’t have to worry about the ball like on offense. You have less to think about. Its not about running plays or matchups. Its about covering an area and watching for picks. Team D especially for a Center. Is not an intricate development. Its just about rebounding and protecting the middle.
This is all positioning. Yes today the 3pt shot does add more responsibility. Yet for a Center it is still simple. You never hear the wise saying in Sports. “keep the game simple”. Well on D it’s a lot easier to actually do that.
You say where I get the idea. I played it and coached it.
I get you can’t handle me. But real knowledge shouldn’t bother you. You should be able to discuss it, debate it. Yet with your wannabbe self it’s personal. And that’s just immature and childish. I don’t care if you agree with me or not. You should respect my commitment to what I say by now lol.
You are criticizing the Warriors FO for not drafting another prospect at center. They already have Post. The idea that Raynaud could step right in and give them 20mpg 70+ games as a rookie is a bit farcical.
Dude all teams mess up. Thats life. You can criticize the Knicks all you want. Sports is to be criticized. Cause we all see talent differently. And teams don’t always do things based on talent. All you do here is disagree just to go against me. Or you think you are protecting your team. Either way there is no common sense. Franchises miss all the time.
Why wouldn’t I talk about Raynaud. He is starting to get good mins. We are suppose to talk about it now. Thats what basketball fans do.
You are trying to tell me that Raynaud is as good as Nic Claxton.
Have you looked at the King’s roster? There is a reason why he is getting so many minutes. The Warriors don’t need another Post on a full contract.

Raynaud didn’t pick up basketball late in life. He was on the under-16 French National team in 2019. You don’t get on a National team by just walking off the street.
Do you even know what you post. Middle school and up is late in life lol. Do you know how old little league players are lmao. There are many players retired already. Who started playing the game late. All of them have one thing in common. They got better in NBA. They may have the physical tools. But you only compete when you learn the game.
You actually wrote 16 yrs old. If you read his story. It will tell you he was raw when he came to college. You think I make this stuff up. Use you phone to upgrade your knowledge lol. Players come into NBA at 18-19 yrs old. And you think writing 16 yrs old. Somehow helps your argument …. Geeezz
wow that is a breakdown by being triggered to post that much. Come on Al lighten up and do some meditation it would do you good.
Little League teams are far below that of a National team. Not even close.
You want me to teach you to use your phone. Its a computer. You do understand what that means. You even click on SI story on his youth.
O can tell you this Warriors are the drafters in NBA. And Raynaud is just the latest example.
Si story read it and learn …..
“The user’s query mentions that he “learned basketball late,” which is consistent with reports that Raynaud didn’t start playing basketball seriously until his final year of high school (around age 17). Despite his late start, he developed rapidly and became a highly-touted NBA prospect and a significant contributor to his national team. “
Triggered lmao. Takes me 2 mins to do this. Posters are calling me names and accusing me of lying and certain behavior. Like you are now. And this is on me somehow. Gee maybe if you learn the game. You will be able to defend your thoughts. Instead you have to make this about me. You have all the information at your fingertips. Yet for some it’s easier to just insult people. I apologize for taking this game seriously.
I show you a move you should have made. And you want to hang me for it. Don’t respond to me. Its real simple ….. the Wagoneers ….
There is only like 50 stories and takes. About the Warriors looking for a center a rim protector now. I’m so sorry I am so ahead of the game. Only been saying it for over three yrs. Raynaud just called and said…..
