Warriors forward Draymond Green told Mark Medina of EssentiallySports.com that he thinks he still has two to four years left in the tank after this season.
“I feel great. I feel like I can go another two to four years. I think for me, I always want to try to compete at an elite level,” he said. “If I can’t do that, then it’s not as fun. But what I will say is that I have more left than I thought I would at this point. So as the years have gone by, the outlook on when I’ll be done has changed. I thought I’d get to year 12 and that I’d be breaking down. But by the time I got to year 12, I felt like I was still getting better.”
Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. claimed that he wasn’t discussing Green in any trade talks prior to last week’s deadline, contrary to previous reports. Green has a $27.7MM option on the final year of his contract — he’ll need to make a decision by June 29.
Here’s more from the Pacific Division:
- Kings forward DeMar DeRozan slammed a water bottle to the floor during a third-quarter timeout during a 13th consecutive loss on Monday, as Sacramento was blown out at home by New Orleans. Head coach Doug Christie understood DeRozan’s display of frustration, according to Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee. “Totally,” Christie said. “I went down and sat with him for a second just to talk to him. His frustration is more about, first of all, ending a skid, and also after being so close that it could go either way in so many games, this is the first time in a minute where we had this kind of result where we weren’t really in a game. That frustration paired with always trying to play the right way, making sure we’re moving the basketball, getting into something … that was more his frustration than anything, but he’s good. Deebo is a consummate professional.”
- Kobe Bufkin earned a standard contract from the Lakers with his play for their G League team, the South Bay Lakers. The former Hawks guard is excited for the opportunity. “It means a lot,” he said, per Benjamin Royer of the South County Register. “Even dating back to draft night, I had conversations with the Lakers. Ended up going to the Hawks, ultimately, but they’ve always shown interest, always showed love – (GM Rob Pelinka) specifically.” Bufkin was signed to a two-year deal that includes a team option for 2026/27.
- Jalen Green played just his sixth game of the season on Saturday, contributing eight points in 17 minutes in the Suns’ loss to Philadelphia. Green, whose first year with the club has been marred by persistent hamstring issues, is still trying to gain trust in his body, he admitted to Duane Rankin of the Arizona Republic. “There’s still some trust factor in trusting everything, but that’s going to come with time,” Green said. “Playing and being unconscious and forgetting about injuries.”

DeRozan can’t wait to get out of Sacramento
He and LaVine. Trust me, the feeling is mutual.
Will they play on the same team again because that would be strike 3 of the dynamic duo haha.
Poor guy went from top 8 MVP on the Raptors, who then won the title after trading him, and all he has is 2 first round exists to show for his last 8 seasons.
“Poor guy”
He’ll be okay Davey don’t worry.
Draymond is having career-worst numbers across the board, looks visibly slower and his passes are being turned over more than ever. 7 TOs last night. Delusional to think anyone is going to give him a min deal after this colossal fall off. Worst BPM of his career aside from his rookie year.
But he and Kuminga were going to get you Giannis remember?
Oh that $27 mil player option is looming large.
Draymonds WWE antics have only gotten better with age.
Draymond is choirboy compared to how the NBA used to be.
And for today’s NBA, he’s dirty. Always has been.
Did Warrior fans catch this ——— swing n a miss —
Maxine Raynaud — 21 pts, 8/14 FG, 19 teb .
— 7’ 1” 250 lbs — best center in draft …..
Monday night in 36 mins. He got more rebounds than Warriors starting 5 LOLS
Green 4, Melton 3, Moody 1, Santos 8, Spencer 3
😮🤨😂😮😜😃😳😳🤑
-0.3 VORP from Raynaud so far this season. Will Richard has a +0.3. He ain’t anything Al, this is all garbage time from the Kings from here on out. These games don’t matter. I would hold up and watch him play a full season before declaring him a star.
Melton, Moody, Spencer are all undersized guards smh
Talent has nothing to do with stats on a bad team. He is proving he can be a starting center in NBA. Richard best he will be is a rotation backup guard. You can find those anywhere. Real starting centers are much harder to find. Especially one who can play major mins today. He’s a smart kid that understands his role. And will get mu ch better in a few years. You don’t oass on tgat. When you don’t have a center. That simple.
Big Game Will is a LOT better than you think. He has shown remarkable poise out there, way more than Podz, Kuminga or Moody showed in their rookie years. No moment is too small. However, once again, Richard is a strict SG, when used as such with a proper SF (not a guard masquerading as a forward) he puts up way better numbers. Kerr somehow messing up development on a prospect, once again!
I had no idea we could now use emojis here…but I guess I like the simplicity without them
Which team won?
Only a Fool wouldn’t want a real Center …. You think going against me serves a purpose. Only shows ignorance about the game.
Raynaud, Horford, Green, KP, Post is a solid group and mix. A real center makes them ALL better.
Come on Al. Stop being ridiculous. Yes, Raynaud has made the most of his 1/2 season. How can you call him the best center in the draft when the others haven’t fully had a chance to play. Wait 5 seasons for the others to fully develop.
Just so everyone is aware – Al here didn’t watch a single minute of the basketball that he’s talking about. He’s reading stats off a screen and providing no analysis on how/why he got those stats.
That’s not informed opinion. It’s pieced together guess work in the hopes you don’t care enough to challenge it. What’s been Raynauds best game this season and why Al? You talk about him literally everyday so you must have at least some semblance of a take on that, right? RIGHT?
Btw, I’ll just cross these off as options for a reply besides the one I asked for –
Yes the Kings suck
Yes Im whining about it
Yes Im being critical of players who aren’t the reason this team sucks
Yes you said you liked him early on
Yes you want him on the Warriors
And no this has nothing to do with Carter
Check mate.
Actually, this is all about Kerr, “Small Ball”, every team needs at least two “True Centers”, rim protection, 7 foot tall players, the Warriors supposedly blew it by not drafting him…It is all kinda sordid. He could care less about the Kings.
Oh, he has been doing this for a year or more. Raynaud is just the latest variation.
Me talking about Raynaud has nothing to do with Kings. Are you That desperate for attention. Get a puppy ……..
“Me talking about a Kings player has nothing to do with the Kings or their players”
Raynaud the 2nd rd draft pick Warriors passed on has nothing to do with Kings or you. Nothing you do or say will make it so. Its for the Raynaud pick haters.
How can I help you get over yourself. You need me to explain how Kings F up this year. Or you want me to explain how to fix it. Or maybe you want me to tell you who to draft. How can I assist your sorry ares ….
I can give you the URL of your ONLY pro team 😳
sacrepublicfc.com …… lmao .
That’s all I need to do. If I wanted to do analysis I would. Watching Kings twice a year is ALL I can F n take lol. Look what it’s done T😳 Y😱U ……
Kings are worst team in NBA they suck more than your self hate …. How’s that for AnAlYsIs
I am only here to remind Warriors fans on what they passed on. Especially since they are finally agreeing they need size. I mean it only took three yrs.
And I will keep reminding them till the year is out. Since I been telling them since draft night. Passing on Raynaud was a mistake. And I will keep reminding them of that. Especially the TWO haters. I’ll leave the analysis to you. Considering you still haven’t learned that a starting center in 2nd rd is pretty good. This is the second time I am explaining this to you. Hate blinds lol ….. With heters like you. The Kings won’t be around much longer. So start buying your Republic FC gear ….. lmao
Obviously, Al has some serious emotional issues.
The Warriors drafted Quinten Post in the 2nd round and he has started more games than Raynaud this year.
Oh, did I forget that Post was 1st team defensive player in the ACC. Raynaud was considered soft defensively in the once proud PAC12.
This is how ignorance works. Giants74 actually thinks he’s saying something about me. When in truth he is showing his lack of knowledge of the game. Constantly….. Raynaud is a Rookie 22 yrs old.
In 47 career gms he’s avg 23 mins,
FG 56%, FT 75%, 10 pts, 7 reb. He graduated with two degrees from Stanford U. An IQ prospect. Giants74 Doesn’t get Warriors could have Raynaud and Post. That’s 1 DMfr.
Post is 25 yrs old — In 96 career gms he’s avg 17 mins, FG 44%, FT 80%, 7 pts, 4 Reb,
So Raynaud is three yrs younger. Is already putting up better stats than Post. And plays the center position better than Post. Post is a stretch 5. Not a physical presence. He is still learning to play Center in NBA hence his 17 mins. So in what world would you compare these two. When Raynaud is 25. He will already be a top 10 starting center in NBA.
You admitted that you don’t watch any of the guys you talk about. Your opinion on anything is meaningless.
Oh gawd. Get over it. Nobody on hoopsrumors had any say into how the Warriors drafted. You need to complain to Michael Dunleavy Jr. Why do you need to constantly bring it up here? It is pointless.
You say it all the time. ….. you will learn
I’m not here talking about the Warriors. That’s fact in every sports outlet. With every respected writer.
I am here reminding haters like you. And I will be here till end of year. To remind and prove it….
These are you statements ….
We don’t need Raynaud we have Post …. 😮
Richards is a better pick than Raynaud ….. 😂
Raynaud is not a rim protector 😜😱
now this one is telling. You have been saying they don’t need a rim protector for three yrs. I taught you that word lmao ……
Raynaud played at Stanford. Yet you know nothing of him. Cause you don’t watch talent. Ask the Kings fan about his Stanford days. Worse you talk and don’t bother to search him. Worse your team didn’t know. who he is. Cause if they did they wouldn’t have passed on him. Warriors know now. KP trade should tell you that. You will know soon enough …
So tell me again how 25 yr old Post is so much better than 22 yr old Raynaud. Please 😂
Hopefully it is only 2 and not 4
Jalen Green was not happy about being traded. Guy has plenty talent. Imo he’s not a good fit with Booker. I hope he is not playing his way out. Still a long career ahead of him.
I feel for DeM. Sucks to end a career on this wreck of a franchise. I was really surprised he didn’t get traded at deadline. He could have fit right in at SG on Lakers. Not a fan of Luka and Reaves. A few playoff teams could have used him. Next year he’s an expiring contract. I don’t expect him to last in Sacramento.
Elite level?
Draymond should of retired already…
