Warriors big man Al Horford and guard Seth Curry will be reevaluated in a week after undergoing MRIs on their respective injuries, according to Nick Friedell of The Athletic (Twitter link).
Horford was diagnosed with a calf strain after leaving Friday’s game against Minnesota in the first quarter with what was initially referred to as right calf tightness. Kerr said after the final whistle that he expected Horford to miss multiple games.
Curry exited the Wolves game early as well, heading to the locker room in the second quarter with what is now being called a left adductor strain.
Horford has made 43 appearances for the Warriors, who are 32-35 after dropping Sunday’s matchup with the Knicks. He has averaged 8.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game this season. Curry has struggled to stay on the floor at all, missing a significant chunk of the season due to sciatica and playing just four times since signing with the club at the start of December.
Golden State was also without Draymond Green (back injury management), Kristaps Porzingis (illness management), De’Anthony Melton (knee injury management), and Stephen Curry (knee) on Sunday.

Glad the Knicks finally woke up and did their job tonight. Warriors should probably lose every single game from here on out and shoot for that ninth pic.
Quick sidenote, did anyone ever tell Quentin Post you need to catch the ball with two hands? My goodness people.
Yeah, those turnovers have been an issue all season long.
How could the Knicks have let it get so close? I expected a blow out.
But, you have to admit. The fire in their bellys is good thing. They may lose the rest of the season. But, it is something they can build on. It felt like they were to frightened to score when Curry was on the court. Now, maybe they’ll have to confidence to score when they have the opportunity
we are seeing who can play and who can’t.
Santos has some nice moves, doesn’t he? Wonder if he will get playing time and an opportunity going forward. Needs to improve on the shooting but if he does, he can be a solid player.
I think he will be the starting SF even next year.
Like every young player on the Warriors, he’s not been given much of an opportunity wrt consistent minutes.
Since Kerr started giving him more time (post Butler injury), he’s shooting 52%/36% from the field and has improved at the ft line to just under 70%.
The biggest problem is his tendency to force passes he shouldn’t, but even with that in the 19 games from 1-28-26 to now he’s at 4,1 apg and 2.2 TO/gm.
GSW will probably be very happy that he signed so cheap ($5 mil/yr)!
reminds me of 2021 warriors that got a lot of minutes on a bad team and did great the next year.
Post definitely doesn’t have the best hands.
I’m starting to genuinely wonder if Curry is going to retire with a 60+ loss team just like Kobe’s final years
Being reevaluated in one week is just a nice way of kicking the can down the road so they can repeat the process until the end of the season. They’re doing the same with Steph Curry.
Kerr says Curry will play by the end of the season.
I think the Grizzlies left the injury curse on the warriors. Or maybe it was the Pelicans. You can see kerr is starting to lose it by yelling at Richards for a ball that he could catch.
Yep, I’m glad someone noticed that. That was wild, Kerr is tripping balls. You’re talking about the pass from Podz, right? That was awful. Richards seemed quite confused. Wasn’t even a Knick over half court. I’m not sure why Podz had to throw that way out in front.
Podz made like five horrendous passes. Three of them were in quick succession in the second quarter. No idea how he escaped with only 4 turnovers. I think he was trying to do too much. Played great for most of the game, though.
The whole team has had the turnover bug all season long. It has cost them quite a few games.
Waive Seth Curry and sign Wiseman
Tell Jimmy to stop jimmying and get out there
Probably a fake injury. Why didn’t you trade his spoiled butt ? Wiggins sounds great right now, even Harrison Barnes and Kelly O would be nice
Championship
This is all Steve Kerr’s fault!!!!11111111
Yep, it is Kerr’s fault for the team being in a game that they should not have been close.
Are you a computer geek? 11111111 is binary code for a “?”
A ? In binary is 00111111
Faulty calculator.
Every translator I checked shows 00111111
I picked a bad one.
Ohhhh ok but anyway I think the !!!1111 thing is because on an actual keyboard if you lift the shift key it goes back to 1s from !s
Just a bad showing for a so called contender in the East. Never should have been this close at MSG.
That first half. Is a classic example of how teams fall into that three pt contest. Kerr is the one who made it chick. A lot of teams do it now. Worst thing you can do is take the bait. Just bad coaching, no terrible.
The second half is how you should attack a small ball offense. Knicks are lucky Warriors didn’t have a full squad. Or they would have lost. And I don’t mean Steph n Jimmy. Post and Podz had good games. I told you he wants to make post a stretch 5. Payton also was good on D. When you get into a shooting contest with teams. You make it easier for them to play D. Cause you don’t run your offense. You also give them long rebs. So they can stay small and reb.
Warriors — 14/38 3pt, 40/83 FG, 13/15 FT, 35 reb,
27 ast
Knicks — 10/32 3pt, 39/84 FG, 22/23 FT, 44 reb,
23 ast
You go to the basket. You get good shots. You get your threes at the FT line. Just get good looks. Run an offense. Don’t just throw up shots. Warriors are running their offense. Their three pt shooting opens up the middle. There is no player on the Warrior roster. That can guard Towns on the post. That’s how you make them pay. Thru the FT line or passing it back out. Inside outside.
You would think Brown knows Kerrs offense. He just got taken to school again. And almost lost the game. Too late in season for this lols.
Towns looks like an old cneter just cruising through his playing days. He is invisible on defense. They should trade Bridges he is another player that is invisible out there. Brunson was the only person on knicks balling out there.
I been talking about his D since last year. Definitely an issue. He is not as committed on D as he is on offense.
That will be the Knicks problem in the playoffs when teams target your worse defender. Pistons and Cavs both have mutliple centers so Knicks are going to have a tough time in the 2nd round
Did you notice that Post outplayed not only both Knicks centers, but your man crush Raynaud last night?
Post is still learning to play center. Making a few shots has nothing to do with playing center. His 3 reb was amazing. How does he do it.
Try searching Post and double doubles lmao. It doesn’t even know who Post is 😂.
Raynaud leads all rookies in double dounles. Post doesn’t have ONE this yr. Raynaud has TWICE the numbers Post has for year. But you keep believing.
Post doesn’t get a lot of playing time because Kerr rather go with harford or Green at center. Now with KP its even less minutes. Now you know why warrior fans are not happy with kerr’s rotations tghat leave players like Post on the bench.
You know arc. If you guys paid attention. You might actually learn something. And speak the truth. I have said from day one Post has a chance as a stretch 5. I tought he was worth developing. Only the Wagoneers want to use him against Raynaud. Which is just ignorance. Raynaud is already a center. He is proving to be a starting center. The smart move would have been to have both. Yet all the clowns here think this is a debate. Not even a conversation. Passing on Raynaud was a mistake. And he is proving it every time he steps on the court. Post is not better. One day I hope he could be. I just don’t see it. Pretty simple to me. I wish Post the best.
16 DDs for Raynaud
He has 15.
How many minutes in those? From a low of 25:02 to a high of 38:08 (in a game they lost in a blowout to the Pelicans by 26).
You still don’t get that if the Warriors had drafted him he’d only have gotten spot minutes of the bench and he wouldn’t have any double doubles.
What’s to get that the 42nd pick in draft. Is in the running for ROY. What is there to get. You know what this game is about. Finding talent is the most important part of a franchise. Next is building around it or with it. Even if means trading it. You are a clueless homer. Who doesn’t understand how important hitting on a pick is. For any franchise. Making excuses only speaks of your knowledge. What part of this don’t you understand …
Thats 15 mote than Post has …… lmao
What is there to get?
The reality that he wouldn’t have played more than 10 min/gm, if that, under Kerr. So it wouldn’t have turned into “hitting on a pick”. FYI, that’s not making excuses.
I’m happy for him that he ended up on a terrible Kings team and Sabonis getting injured resulted in him becoming a starter and playing well.
But ofc, it wasn’t just the Warriors that passed on picking him – so did the Twolves who took 6’9″ Rasheer Fleming with #31, who is barely playing with the Suns, Charlotte taking 7 footer Kalkbrenner at #34 who has been OK as a part time starter (but only 3 double doubles in 55 games), 76ers picking 6’10″Johni Broome 35th who only appeared in 11 NBA games and relegated to the G league, and a bunch of guards and small forwards that haven’t done as well as Will Richard has for GSW.
The Warriors don’t play Post at center, he’s listed as a PF even though he’s often at SF. The 2 games where he got double digit rebounds Draymond started both.
It’s kinda sad that you can’t seem to grasp the reason why Post doesn’t have any double doubles. It’s because he averages only 17.5 minutes/gm.
Any double doubles for Raynaud playing under 18 minutes?
How about 25 minutes?
His lowest minute double double was 12/10 in 25:02 on Dec 6th. Post barely missed with 9/11 in Phoenix with Kerr playing him 26:38.
You don’t know what a center is. By the way you talk. You don’t know the offense Warriors run.
Let me tell you something about basketball.
iTS a 2WAY SPORT ….. Warriors don’t play traditional D. Cause they don’t use a rim protector. Most times they are in a matchup zone. Cause they don’t use traditional bigs. How long you been watching them. Man
Of course I know what a center is, which is why I know that Post doesn’t play center for the Warriors.
Everyone that knows ball knows that Kerr plays a smallball motion offense.
And as far as basketball being a “2WAY SPORT”, even with the injuries, Dray’s decline, Horford missing so many games and Kerr’s messing around with lineups and barely playing his 7 footer, they’re still 14th in the league in defense after being as high as 5th earlier in the season.
No he doesn’t play a small ball motion offense. He tries to play a motion offense. With play makers and shooters. Who can defend. Defend at least as a team. Hence the matchup zone. He uses shooters to open up the floor. KD and Klay weren’t small. The shooting is what is most important for his offense. Thats what he looks for. Happens to me mostly guards now. But he does look for 3 n D guys too. You still need a big on D. Even if he is not a true center. To make the defense work. Only he uses guys with more offense than defense. Like Post. But he is here cause of his size. And that means he is the center. Wasn’t he on Towns most of the night.
Even when he was a rookie. They thought of him as a big ….. KP and post is Warriors version of a center.

“No he doesn’t play a small ball motion offense.”
WRONG
“Defend at least as a team. Hence the matchup zone. KD and Klay weren’t small. ”
GSW didn’t play a matchup zone when KD and Klay were on the team, they were the #1 defense in 2015, #2 in 2016, and #5 in 2017. He has moved to the zone with the current roster because it helps cover their defensive deficiencies.
“Even when he was a rookie. They thought of him as a big”
Did you notice in your linked article Kerr never said 1 word about him being “a big” – it was all about his shooting and assists.
That link had Dra and Looney talking about Post as their big. And what they were teaching. You want him at Center or not. Who cares take him out. He avg 16 mins aFNbgm. Last night was his most mins.
The Wagoneers don’t know what their team runs. About 5 yrs ago ALL of you here in Hobbit land. Were telling me the center is dead. The NBA is going away. Look at all the teams today. Even though Warriors carried three centers in their first 3 chips. Go back to last chip. And you will see what Kerr is hung up on. He thinks he’s figured it out. Left you behind though. Post played 30 mins mostly guarding Towns. Why is that . Cause he should have been on Brunson right.
Dray and Looney don’t assign playing time, Kerr does.
“Post played 30 mins mostly guarding Towns. Why is that”
Because Horford and Porzingis were out – that’s the ONLY reason.
Go learn the fane. Only Kerr can teach bigs to play OK ….. got it. You live with Post and the lottery.
Don’t waste my time.
Was that supposed to make sense?
Horford and Porz are actual 2 way centers, with Dray as their small ball defensive 5. Post plays the perimeter in limited/inconsistent minutes on offense, and guards opposing centers only on switches or when the other centers are out.
Horford can play C. But even he is not a true center anymore. Post is a better C than KP. That’s hilarious. KP hasn’t played center since his first yrs as a Knick.
You really don’t know your team or positions.
You still haven’t explained why Post guarded Towns all his mins.
Lol, your apparent inability to understand English isn’t my fault.
And it’s funny to see you claim to know more than everyone else that watches or plays in the NBA about what position Horford and Porzingis play.
I played my whole life, and I’m old. I clearly know more about GSW than you do.
You know shhh … you played but you think Post isn’t your center. You can’t even explain Kerrs offense . You are a clueless fool. KP will never play C. Cause he gets hurt that way. He wants no part of it. Don’t you watch ball. Horford is at the end of his career. Has played both C n PF. An 8 yr old can tell you all this. . I’d have to be brain dead to not know more ball than You. You got the huevos to get in my business with the Wagoneers. You think you know who I am.
Choose your battles more wisely. You are clueless about this. You are late to this.,we are in the third movie version of this. This is ONLY about draft day. So go STFU. Raynaud proves my point every game now. And still the Clowns here got excuses. Like you got visions. BlindHomer
Blah blah blah.
It’s easy to explain Kerr’s offense, I already did. And claiming KP doesn’t play center is merely your opinion, and opinions aren’t facts. Celtics fans know different, as does the media (which has always listed him as a center).
No one cares …. You want in on Raynaud. Then get the facts. Don’t come here talking when you don’t know the real story. You got that.
Warriors passed on Raynaud. A true center with potential. And you fellow fans are still dissing Him. That’s who you are too. Raynaud just put 32 on Wemby and outplayed him. And they can’t even praise him for that. You really want be that.
Bunch of Wagoneers WDKB or talent.
Lots of teams passed on Raynaud. And outplaying Wemby in a blowout with Wemby coasting is meaningless.
I’m happy for Raynaud and I agree he’s a very good rookie center. Have you figured out yet that unlike the Kings, Kerr would have wasted his rookie year?
The 42nd pick ….. Wagoneers Unite.
Bunch of wannabees ….
Raynaud tonight 23 pts, 4 reb, 1 blk
9/14 FG, 2/3 3pt, 5/5 FT ……..
No starch please. Raynaud says “vous sucez”
