Wizards Sign James Singleton

The Wizards have signed James Singleton, according to his agency ASM Sports (via Twitter). David Devall of CSN Mid-Atlantic tweets that it will be a 10-day contract.

Singleton, 30, last played in the NBA for the Wizards in 2009/10, appearing in 32 games for Washington. In 231 career NBA games, the 6'8" forward has averaged 3.7 points and 3.6 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per contest.

The Wizards have an open roster spot, so no corresponding move is required to clear room for Singleton. As our 10-day tracker shows, the Murray State alum is the third player to sign a 10-day deal with Washington since the trade deadline.

Minor Moves: Courtney Fortson

We'll track today's international and D-League-related transactions right here:

Bulls Sign Mike James For Rest Of Season

The Bulls have signed Mike James to a contract for the remainder of the season, the team officially announced today. The addition of James brings Chicago's roster to 14 players, so the club still has room to sign another player before the end of the season.

James, 36, started the season with the Bulls, was waived by the team in late January, and later signed a pair of 10-day deals. Chicago didn't re-sign him immediately after the second contract expired, but planned to bring him back in April.

In eight games with the Bulls this season, James has scored 5.4 points and handed out 3.1 assists in 11.4 minutes per contest.

Rockets Re-Sign Earl Boykins

The Rockets have re-signed Earl Boykins to a second 10-day contract, tweets Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. Houston won't need to make a corresponding roster move to make room for Boykins, whose first 10-day deal expired last night.

There was no doubt the Rockets would be re-signing Boykins. The only question was whether it would be for another 10 days or the rest of the season. The Rockets are currently tied for the seventh seed in the Western Conference, so I imagine if they're still in the thick of the playoff race, they'll retain Boykins when this deal expires. This just gives them another 10 days to make their final decision.

Boykins, 35, has played 16.1 minutes per game in his five contests with Houston, averaging 6.4 points and 3.0 assists per game.

Minor Moves: Wright, Williams, Murray

We'll track the latest international and D-League-related transactions here:

  • The Warriors have recalled Chris Wright from their D-League affiliate, according to a team release. Wright had been assigned to the Dakota Wizards on March 24th for the second time this season.
  • Sean Williams is rejoining the Texas Legends for the rest of the D-League season, tweets Marc Stein of ESPN.com. Williams was waived by the Mavericks in March to make room for Kelenna Azubuike, but will return to the team's D-League affiliate, where he spent time earlier this season.
  • Former NBA veteran Flip Murray will sign with the D-League's Austin Toros, according to Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio (via Twitter). Murray played for eight NBA teams in eight seasons, last seeing NBA action with the Bulls in the 2010 playoffs. The 32-year-old averaged 9.9 points in 22.7 minutes per contest over the course of 487 career games.

Warriors Sign Mickell Gladness For Rest Of Season

In a tweet, Yahoo's Marc J. Spears reports that Golden State has signed Mickell Gladness for the rest of the season. It was reported yesterday that the signing was expected to be for the rest of the season as opposed to a 10-day deal.

As our Chuck Myron wrote yesterday, Gladness began the season with the Heat, appearing in eight games before getting waived February 7th. He then signed two 10-day deals with Miami, despite interest from the Warriors when he signed the last one.

Grizzlies Recall Josh Selby

We'll keep track of tonight's minor moves here..

  • The Grizzlies recalled guard Josh Selby from the Reno Bighorns, the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, the club announced today.  In two stints with Reno, Selby has averaged 22.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in six total contests.  Selby saw his minutes decrease when the team inked veteran Gilbert Arenas.

Kings Sign Terrence Williams For Season

2:14pm: The team has confirmed the move, Jones tweets.

8:13am: Terrence Williams says he has already signed the paperwork to stay with the Kings the rest of the season, tweets Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee.  Williams, 24, inked a ten-day contract with Sacramento on March 21.

The former 11th overall pick in the 2009 draft languished on the Rockets' bench this season and saw time in just twelve contests.  Houston shopped Williams heavily in early March but wound up waiving him on March 16th.  For his career, Williams has averaged 7.4 PPG and 3.8 RPG.

Nets Sign Dennis Horner To 10-Day Contract

The Nets have officially signed Dennis Horner to a 10-day contract, the team announced today (Twitter link). Scott Schroeder of Ridiculous Upside first reported that the Nets were expected to add Horner on a 10-day deal.

Horner, who will take Jerry Smith's spot on the roster after Smith's 10-day contract expired, spent time with the Nets earlier this season. Horner saw very limited action with the club, however, playing just 16 minutes over the course of five games. Since he was waived by the Nets, the 24-year-old has been playing for the D-League's Springfield Armor, averaging 17.0 PPG and 8.5 RPG in 25 contests.

Horner will add frontcourt depth to a Nets squad that saw Shelden Williams and Jordan Williams suffer injuries earlier this week. As our 10-day tracker shows, Horner is the fourth player to earn a 10-day deal from the Nets this year. Of the four, only Gerald Green has turned the brief audition into a rest-of-season contract.

Cavs Sign Lester Hudson To 10-Day Contract

The Cavaliers have signed Lester Hudson to a 10-day contract, the team announced today in a press release. The Cavs had an open roster spot after waiving Ryan Hollins, so they won't have to make a corresponding move.

Hudson, 27, had been playing for the D-League's Austin Toros, averaging 17.6 PPG in five contests for the team. The 6'3" guard was drafted by the Celtics in the second round of the 2009 draft, and has played 36 career NBA games for the Celtics, Grizzlies, and Wizards.

To keep tabs on the latest 10-day deals being signed around the league, be sure to check out our 10-day contract tracker. As the tracker shows, Hudson is the third guard the Cavs have signed to at least one 10-day contract this season. The team also signed Donald Sloan to a rest-of-season deal after the trade deadline.
