Jeremy Lin To Meet With Rockets

5:43PM: In a tweet from Hoopsworld.com's Alex Kennedy, Houston may make a three-year "poison pill" offer to Jeremy Lin that pays Lin $5MM, $5.2MM and $13.8MM. The move would be similar to what the Rockets did earlier this week with restricted free agent Omer Asik

Based on Wojnarowski's report, I'd be a little surprised if Orlando agreed to that deal. Plus, it would hinge on both big men agreeing to sign new contracts.

The Magic would include Jason Richardson in any Howard deal, Rudolph adds in a second tweet.

Blazers Nearing Buyout With Shawne Williams

The Trail Blazers are nearing an agreement to buy out Shawne Williams' contract, tweets SI.com's Sam Amick. Williams, who was traded to Portland earlier this year, exercised his player option worth $3.135MM, which keeps him under contract for one more years with the Blazers.

If the Blazers and Williams agree on a buyout, the team will have the opportunity to spread the cap hit for the deal over the next three seasons under the NBA's stretch provision. An agreement would likely give Portland a couple million more dollars to work with in free agency.

Nets Maintain Interest In Ersan Ilyasova
