The Nets And The Salary Cap
Through three and a half days of NBA free agency, the Nets have run away with the title of most active team. They've agreed to a four-year deal with Gerald Wallace, a three-year deal with Mirza Teletovic, a sign-and-trade for Reggie Evans, a blockbuster trade for Joe Johnson, and, of course, a maximum contract for Deron Williams. How much flexibility do the Nets have to continue adding to their roster? Let's take a look….

Steve Nash Rumors: Wednesday
The race for Steve Nash got awfully interesting yesterday, with a handful of developments making Nash's decision cloudier than ever. The Raptors agreed to sign Landry Fields to a hard-to-match offer sheet, removing the Knicks' best sign-and-trade chip from the equation. Meanwhile, the Lakers are making a push to land Nash in a sign-and-trade deal of their own, while the Mavericks, having missed out on Deron Williams, figure to turn their attention to Nash now. With all that in mind, we'll track today's Nash updates right here, with the latest developments added to the top of the page throughout the day….
- According to Steve Kyler of HoopsWorld, the Mavericks have made Nash a massive offer that rivals the Raptors' proposal.

Dwight Howard Rumors: Wednesday
Yesterday's round of Dwight Howard rumors was fairly eventful, featuring reports that the Magic are discussing deals with a number of teams, including the Lakers and Nets. The Nets still appear determined to put together a complicated package for Howard, though their increasing cap figure will make it difficult. The Lakers, meanwhile, seem willing to offer Andrew Bynum, but only with Metta World Peace in the deal as well, and only if D12 agrees to sign a long-term deal. I don't think that package gets it done for a Magic team looking for cap relief.
We'll round up today's Howard updates right here, so check back throughout the day for the latest:

Clippers Rumors: Crawford, Allen, Billups, Hollins
The Clippers had a "positive meeting" with Jamal Crawford in Los Angeles and made the former Blazer a contract offer, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter). Crawford is still considering a handful of other teams, however, including the Timberwolves, 76ers, Grizzlies, and Suns. Here are a few more Wednesday morning Clippers items:
Lakers Making Push For Steve Nash

Anthony Davis Out Of Olympics?
Tuesday 8:48pm: According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Anthony Davis will report to Las Vegas next week despite his ankle injury.
Monday 12:23pm: A source that spoke to Jimmy Smith of the New Orleans Times-Picayune classified Davis' ankle sprain as "light" and said it could sideline the big man for a week or two. Talking to SI.com's Sam Amick, Colangelo continued not to rule out Davis for the London games until he has more information.
"Just getting a report that his ankle is serious doesn't mean anything to me until we get an official doctor's report on what that means," Colangelo said. "Does it mean he can't practice for a week? Does it mean he's out for a month? You know what I'm saying. I don't like to speculate."
