Laughing at those who thought that Booker, DeRozan, SGA, etc. would make it over Westbrook who is averaging around 30 PPG over the past two months. He would easily be a starter for the east.

And we are laughing at the Rockets for having Westbrook locked up on a supermax deal. If you had to take your pick of those 4 players on your team Westbrook would go last.

      • Terrodan01720

I would rather give westbrook the max than DeRozan and probably shai I mean DeRozan is worse than westbrook and shai is showing great potential but you don’t know if he can take the next step

The starting East guards is the worst group. There is not that much quality difference overall between EC & WC.

I think saying he got robbed is a stretch – he’s putting up a lot of points for a very bad team. I don’t think he’s more deserving than any of the players that made it.

        • Curtisrowe

Young is a starter putting up a lot of points for a very bad team. So I don’t know if your point holds a lot of water.

Beal is averaging over 28 a game. He got robbed.

      • stretch123

Considering the choices for the East, Beal did not get robbed. He should be leading his teams to more wins.

          • C-Daddy

I was referring to the reserves – Trae Young shouldn’t be on the team either.

          • x%sure

Trae Young is better at doing what Beal does. As in, Beal lost to Young. Only so many losing-team players will make it– Ingram & Lillard makes three.

The lesser teams have a number of players who should have made it but did not:
Dinwiddie, Lavine, Drummond, Rose, Beal, Love, Morris, Derozan, Booker, Holiday, Towns, more

            • phenomenalajs

Din would have made it if he hadn’t cooled off shortly before Kyrie came back. The team going into a tailspin didn’t help either.

Adebayo absolutely deserves it if you watch the Heat. Dude constantly shows up every night and flirts with triple doubles.

I’m wiz fan, he missed few games. He always getting drilled in the azz real hard during allstar time

  3. DynamiteAdams

Khris Middleton over Beal, really? Paul over Booker feels kinda wrong but at the same time OKC has a better record.

    • Middleton is crushing it for the league’s best team. Easy All-Star. Beal deserves to be in too, but not over Khris. Beal>Simmons

    • graysondecker

Middleton is the second best player on the team with the best record in the league. He could be the best player on a lot of teams. He put up 51 when Giannis sat the other night. He’s definitely deserving. Personally, I would have put in Beal over Tatum

Nah I like how they did it. No reserves from a god awful team. Lillard, ingram, are the only rederves with a losing team record. Should give Beal and Booker motivation to improve their teams! I’ve never seen a player avg 28ppg and get snubbed tho. Historical. Silver is a good commissioner

  5. Terrodan01720

Dbook is a massive snub should definitely make it over paul. It’s actually disgraceful hope he gets in for injury reserve probably for luka

No Booker, Beal, or Towns and I’m literally glued to my La-Z-Boy. I think it’s such a good job by the coaches to select to most elite players in the world

Also loving the disinclusion of Russell, it’s seriously fresh when there are zero Warriors on the list. Wow, I can’t believe the good news. This is going to be the best game ever

    East
Kyrie, Beal & Drummond in, Lowry, K-Mid & JT out
    West
Booker, KAT & Whiteside in, CP3, Mitchell & Ingram out

    • Simple Fan

He comes from the tough Western conf. Plays excellent all-star ball plus OKC is one of the most intimidating teams on earth

      • justalittleoutside

A good team sure. Intimidating? Right now there is probably only two of those in the West. CP3 feels like he’s getting in based off of his entire resume and not just the current season.

        • Simple Fan

The East got Simmons, West gets Paul to entertain the response. I love those players’ chances at the title. Both got all-star experience, their teams are threatening. Lowry is in, what a breath of fresh air. Raps deserve 2 or more all-stars, now they’ve got 2. Yeah it’s a tough Western conference, it will be hard to get past the L.A. clubs. But between those 2 teams there’s only 3 stars

          • phillyballers

Ben Simmons 13th Box +/- (4th in East) and 7th in VORP (2nd in East).

            CP3 is 19th Box +/- and 15th VORP.

Simmons also leads the league in steals (Paul is 4th). 3rd in Assists (Paul is 9th). 20th in Rebounds.

But it’s really not Simmons vs Paul. It’s more of Paul vs whomever you think should be in from the West, and I think that KAT is more deserving regardless of team success. It’s not an MVP convo, it’s an All-Star and KAT is having a better season.

      • phillyballers

CP3 is having a good year, is Top-20 in Box Plus/Minus, and VORP. However I’m inserting KAT and the metrics support it. 9th Win Share/48, 5th Box +/- and 13th VORP.

Booker and Beal should definitely be in the All-Star. They play hard and want to win. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be putting up these numbers. Both of these guys not only are the top scorers on their teams, but also are crucial playmakers to get others involved. Bad team building is the fault of the GM, not the players. They shouldn’t be punished because of record when they earned the right to be called an All-Star.

  10. justalittleoutside

There’s some guys that got here by association with another great player on their team or reputation and it doesn’t quite feel right. I feel a few of these guys got picked a year too soon as an All-Star.

  11. Shaun owens

I don’t know much , but Booker should be an all start I guess over cp3

  12. Skip, Tampa

No way Tatum should play over Beal, not even close.
    Bogus garbage completely.

  13. Terrodan01720

Jayson Tatum making the team over beal is despicable Jaylen should make it over Jayson as well

  14. brandoningramno1fan
