Turkey Announces EuroBasket Roster Headlined By Sengun

Turkey has become the latest team to finalize its roster for EuroBasket 2025, announcing its 12-man squad on Sunday ahead of the start of the tournament this week.

The roster features two current NBA players, including one – Rockets center Alperen Sengun – who is coming off a season in which he earned his first All-Star nod and averaged a double-double (19.1 PPG, 10.3 RPG). Second-year Sixers forward Adem Bona, the 41st overall pick in last year’s draft, will also suit up for Turkey.

Beyond Sengun and Bona, the Turkish national team includes a handful of former NBAers whose names will be familiar to fans. Here are the 12 players who will represent Turkey at EuroBasket:

Shane Larkin
Cedi Osman
Ercan Osmani

Alperen Sengun
Kenan Sipahi
Erkan Yilmaz

Bitim, Korkmaz, Larkin, Osman, and Yurtseven all have NBA experience, with Osman (476 regular season games) and Korkmaz (328) each having spent seven seasons in the league, though neither played in the NBA in 2024/25.

Turkey will carry some momentum into EuroBasket, having won each of its past three exhibition games ahead of the tournament, beating Czechia, Lithuania, and Montenegro. The Turkish club will be part of Group A, which also features Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Serbia, and Czechia. Their tournament tips off on Wednesday against the Latvians.

The Pistons have a big workout scheduled for next Monday, with Jared Sullinger, Tyler Zeller, Meyers Leonard, John Henson, Terrence Jones, and Perry Jones III expected to attend, tweets ESPN.com's Chad Ford.
Harrison Barnes and a pair of possible second-round candidates will work out for the Wizards tomorrow, the team announced.

Draft Updates: International Players, Tony Mitchell

The NCAA underclassmen who have entered the NBA draft receive more attention and will make up a majority of the first round, but a number of international players have been making themselves eligible for the draft as well. Today's draft updates from Jonathon Givony of DraftExpress.com (via Twitter) focus on those international names….

Turkish big man Furkan Aldemir, DraftExpress.com's 45th overall prospect, will make himself eligible for the draft.
Serbian point guard Nemanja Nedovic will enter the draft. He ranks 59th among this year's top 100 prospects, according to DraftExpress.
Spanish point guard Josep Franch will also declare for the draft. He doesn't crack DraftExpress.com's top 100 prospects, but ranks just a couple spots behind Aldemir and Nedovic on the site's top international 1991-born prospects.
Turkish seven-footer Sertac Sanli, who ranks 19th among 1991-born international prospects on DraftExpress, will enter the draft as well.
Back in the NCAA, North Texas freshman Tony Mitchell is still leaning toward entering the draft. DraftExpress.com's 26th-overall prospect has until Sunday to make a decision.
