Spurs Sign Nando De Colo

FRIDAY, 4:37pm: The Spurs have officially signed De Colo, the team announced today in a press release.

TUESDAY, 12:03pm: Nando De Colo will leave Spanish team Valencia BC and sign a two-year deal with the Spurs, Valencia announced today (English link via Sportando). The 6'5" guard was drafted by San Antonio with the 53rd overall pick in the 2009 draft, and the Spurs have held his NBA rights since then.

Bobcats Sign Jeffery Taylor

The Bobcats have signed Jeffery Taylor to a contract, tweets Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer. Taylor was the first pick of the second round in June's draft, coming off the board 31st overall.

Terms of Taylor's deal weren't disclosed, but he'll likely earn the rookie minimum. It's not clear yet how many years he signed for or what sort of guarantee he received.

Clippers Sign Jamal Crawford, Chauncey Billups

JULY 13TH, 3:55pm: The Clippers have officially signed Billups, according to a release from the team.

JULY 11TH, 5:25pm: The Clippers have officially signed Crawford, reports Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times (Twitter link).

JULY 5TH, 2:36pm: ESPN.com's Chad Ford (Twitter link) confirms that the Clippers can't be paid more than about $21.3MM with the mid-level exception, even if the deal includes unlikely incentives. So something has to give here. If the Clips hope to pay Crawford more than that amount, it seems they'd need a sign-and-trade.

2:05pm: The third and fourth years of Crawford's contract only include "small" amounts of guaranteed money, according to SI.com's Sam Amick (via Twitter).

1:22pm: Crawford's deal with the Clippers will be for four years and up to $25MM, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports (via Twitter). Alex Kennedy of HoopsWorld says it'll be $24MM. Either way, that's larger than the maximum mid-level deal (about $21MM), so it seems there will be a few million dollars in unlikely incentives.

12:57pm: Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups have agreed to sign with the Clippers, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times. The agreements with the two guards will take the Clips out of the running for Ray Allen, says Turner.

Crawford, who opted out of his contract with the Blazers, is expected to sign a three-year deal for about $15.67MM. Billups, meanwhile, will likely sign a one-year deal that could pay him up to $4.3MM if he reaches certain incentives. Crawford's deal figures to use up the Clippers' full $5MM mid-level exception, while the team was able to to over the cap to re-sign Billups using his Bird Rights.

Billups' deal is good news for Chris Paul, who said last week that he considered bringing back Chauncey his "top priority" this offseason. Crawford will give the Clips the shooter they lacked for much of last season — before agreeing with L.A., he also considered the Timberwolves, Sixers, Grizzlies, and Suns.

The Clippers had been scheduled to meet with Allen on Friday, but cancelled the visit after reaching deals with Crawford and Billups. The pair of agreements also almost certainly means that Nick Young won't be re-signing with Los Angeles.

Trail Blazers Sign J.J. Hickson

FRIDAY, 2:53pm: The Trail Blazers have officially signed Hickson, the team announced today (Twitter link).

WEDNESDAY, 8:48pm: A source tells Sam Amick of SI.com that Hickson's deal is worth about $4MM, which is pretty close to what he would have made with his qualifying offer (Twitter link). That would be something of an about-face for the Blazers, possibly triggered by Indiana's apparent willingness to either match an offer sheet or re-sign Roy Hibbert.

8:03pm: J.J. Hickson and the Blazers have agreed to a one-year deal, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports (Twitter link). The team elected not to give Hickson a qualifying offer which would have been close to $4.4MM, making him an unrestricted free agent, so presumably the deal is for less than that amount.

Rockets Amnesty Luis Scola

FRIDAY, 2:33pm: The Rockets have officially released Scola via the amnesty clause, tweets ESPN.com's Marc Stein.

THURSDAY, 8:57pm: Eric Pincus of HoopsWorld points out why Scola could actually clear the amnesty waivers and become an unrestricted free agent. An amnesty bid requires the incorporation of the non-guaranteed amount of the contract. While Scola was guaranteed $9.4MM and $10.2MM for the next two seasons, his final season was for $11MM with just $1MM guaranteed. A bidding team would have to account for the non-guaranteed $10MM over the life of the original deal (three years in this case), thus starting the bid at a minimum of around $3.3MM. Pincus mentions that teams won't have that kind of cap space to make such an offer, which increases the possibility that Scola clears waivers.

JULY 4TH: Spencer Hawes and the 76ers have reached an agreement on a new contract, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The $13.1MM deal will keep the unrestricted free agent under contract in Philadelphia for two more years.

The Grizzlies have officially signed first-round pick Tony Wroten, the team announced today (Twitter link via Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal). As the 25th overall pick in this year's draft, Wroten is eligible for a first-year salary of up to $1,110,120.

Wroten, 19, entered the draft after spending a single season at Washington. The 6'6" guard averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 30.3 minutes per game in his freshman year.

WEDNESDAY, 8:05am: Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal confirms (via Twitter) that Bayless' contract will start at $3MM, meaning he'll receive the Grizzlies' mini mid-level exception. The deal is for two years, with a player option for the second year, and is expected to be the last of the team's summer transactions, tweets Tillery.
