The Celtics will add Tremont Waters on a two-way deal, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe hears (Twitter link).
The point guard will split his time between the Celtics and their G League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws. Each team is awarded a pair of two-way contracts and it was previously reported that shooting guard Max Strus will occupy one for Boston as well.
Waters was selected with the No. 51 overall pick after spending two years at LSU. He appeared in 66 games over his collegiate career, scoring 15.3 points while dishing out 5.9 assists per game.
Sucks for him he could’ve possibly made another team but the Celtics already have too many sub 6 feet pgs

So if the Celtics filled both of their 2-way slots, does that mean Fall will make the main roster or the Maine roster? He’s been dominating the Las Vegas summer league. I think someone may sign him off the Celtics G-League team if he’s not at least given a 2-way contract.

I believe the Celtics have 15 guys under contract and both 2-way slots filled. Tacko signed an Exhibit 10 contract meaning he gets bonus money if he plays for the Celtics in G League, but at this point I wouldn’t be surprised if another teach invites him to training camp with open roster spots.
I believe they will cut somebody on the main roster for him whether it’s yubu or maker

Waters would be better off if he wasn’t picked by the same team, same year as Carson Edwards. Great drafting by Boston. Williams should get on court somehow.
BTW. Coverage of summer league by espn is horrible. Nobody seems to care about the actual game or telling us who’s in it. The game shot is often diminshed to visually show talking heads talking. No reason for that. Who made that last assist?– nothing. I could use an assist. We don’t have a program and I can’t find one online and espn shifted from facts some time ago.
Burke and Jones did not take an interest in their game until about halfway into the 4th qtr. But we did hear– and see– Jackie McMullen’s feminist takes, yay. Says she can’t figure out why half the coaches aren’t women. Hmm.

Dan Dakich isn’t that horrible once you get what he’s doing but he doesn’t seem to have a roster either. Maybe the Vegas league has a shady background.
