Giannis Antetokounmpo Questionable For Game 4

With the season on the line Sunday, the Bucks may not have their MVP on the court. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been listed as questionable for Game 4 against Miami with an ankle issue, tweets Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, who adds that Antetokounmpo had a “very noticeable limp” today.

The injury occurred early in the first quarter of Game 3 and Antetokounmpo was seen grimacing in pain throughout the night, according to Eric Woodyard of ESPN. He still managed to put up 21 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists and said afterward that the ankle felt “great” and “it wasn’t bothering me at all.”

Antetokounmpo was named Defensive Player of the Year earlier this week and is expected to be named MVP for the second straight season. The Bucks are 5-5 in games he has missed this year, according to StatMuse.

In other injury news around the league:

  • Rockets forward Danuel House left Friday’s game early, but the team explained it was for precautionary reasons and he won’t have to enter the concussion protocol, tweets Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle. Coach Mike D’Antoni said House was fine after the game.
  • LeBron James has a sore right groin, Anthony Davis has a sprained left finger and Rajon Rondo is suffering back spasms, but the Lakers list all three as probable for Sunday, according to Feigen (Twitter link).
  • The Heat are listing Kelly Olynyk as questionable for Game 4 with the right knee issue that caused him to miss Friday’s game, tweets Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald.
  • Point guard Tremont Waters will be available for today’s Game 4, the Celtics announced. He had been sidelined with a sprained knee.

5 stories down from this one he is quoted saying “I could play more”

    ….or not

He don’t play it’s over. That sprain was real. Wasn’t the same after that. Usually gets worse next day lol. I’m sure he will try. Don’t expect 100%. Bucks in trouble

Why would he need real estate agents for SF when Miami or Tornato are much more likely?

        • The Warriors will run it back with Wiggins before they trade Klay Thompson away.

      • There’s absolutely no reason why Toronto or Miami are more likely. Are you saying that he will sign with the Raptors or heat as a free agent in two years? Or are you saying the Bucs trade Giannis 4 a package before then? I’m just not seeing how Toronto or Miami can give up a suitable trade and still have a team left over to put around Giannis. That’s why I say it is likely the Warriors.

He goes to Warriors. They win next three easy. They got the assets.
Wiggins, Paschal, #2pick draft, 3 future #1 picks. They can take on a salary dump with their trade exception too. Ig Giannis says he wants Warriors. Bucks have to do it. Cause he can walk after next yr. So 4 #1 picks one of them Wiseman, Wiggins, Paschal. Is not a bad haul. They can flip Wiggins or keep him at SG. Middleton at SF. Lopez can mentor Wiseman, he’s signed for 3 more yrs. If they get swept. Something is going to go down.

The Bucks are going to give away the player most people think is the best in the NBA for what? Andrew Wiggins, Eric Paschall, and the #2 pick in one of the weakest drafts in recent memory? Don’t make me laugh. Unless the Warriors are willing to part with Klay, there’s simply no way the Bucks will even consider trading for a bunch of garbage like that.

      • You haven’t read the package. It’s 5 for one, not those three alone. Five players for 1. Two high pics one 20 point per game guy, and two role-players.

I don’t recall him saying he wants the Warriors. He may want out of the mosh-bubble, back to somewhere fresh and verdant, like Wisconsin.

Someone name a pro athlete not from that area of the country that made that their adopted home. Not a lot of diversity around there. Toronto or miami has more cultural diversity and will be more appealing to make those cities permanent residencies. He is from greece and milwaukee doesnt have anything close like that to offer his family.

        • Yes Iowa Toronto and Miami work for those reasons. But what kind of team do they have left over if they trade everybody away for The Greek Freak?
