Former Bulls forward/center Cristiano Felicio has signed a one-year contract with German club Ratiopharm Ulm, the team announced today in a press release.
Felicio, a Brazilian big man who went undrafted in 2014, initially signed a two-year, minimum-salary contract with the Bulls in 2015, then re-upped on a four-year, $32MM deal in 2017.
That investment, which was questioned even at the time, didn’t produce positive returns for Chicago, as Felicio appeared in just 155 games across the last four years, averaging 4.2 PPG and 3.7 RPG in 14.1 minutes per contest off the team’s bench. He hasn’t played regular rotation minutes since the 2018/19 season.
Making the move to Germany will give Felicio an opportunity to once again see consistent playing time and to rebuild his value. However, it’s unclear whether he’ll make his way back to the NBA down the road or if he’ll continue playing in international leagues for the foreseeable future.

Karnisovas and Eversley ( As soon as they lose Markkanen), Have successfully removed all of the Gar-Pax mistakes from the last 5 years. Cost them just about all their draft picks for the next 3 years but they shouldn’t need any with the roster they’ve assembled. If they can sign Aldridge and he can play a few minutes a game and mentor Simonovic and Williams then it’s a worthwhile sign. Including that loser Boylan. Nice job. It’s great to have great leadership again. Rather be investigated by the NBA for signing FA’s early than have them avoid the place like the plague. Should be fun watching the Hawks and Bulls this winter.

In a landslide of dumb decisions, This Gar-Pax fiasco was probably the worst. 8 million a year for basically nothing.
You just have to know that one of the signings from this off season will look as bad in four years.

My bet would be Caruso simply because the Bulls are the Bulls. Thoughts?
Caruso is signed to play quality defense as a backup guard, Theis is a glue guy and plays hard every second he’s on the court invaluable to a young losing squad, McConnell is gonna be better than Caruso on offense and worse on defense…..Duncan robinson is almost making triple all of those guys, his contract is more expensive than demar derozan, he is a good shooter but has much further to go than the other 3 to make that contract seem fine
I know the plan for why everyone were signed, but Felicio was signed with a plan involved as well. My point is that sometimes plans don’t work as um…planned.
Robinson’s deal will be hard to live up to, but if he is a decent starting SG it’s not a bad deal. If he can get 80% of Buddy Hield’s stats, he would be in line with market value.
Caruso’s deal is the going rate for a backup PG, robinson was overpaid for what he offers, which is just shooting and at 27 yo I doubt he will get much better
I have spoken highly of all of them but blasted the Duncan/Klay comparison. Five years (to 32) is a bit much. Robinson is great to watch with this quick feet and hard cuts around screens, but his PERs are not that great, and overall did not improve on the year before.
A lot of posters have gotten high on Theis, even as a starter, kind of leaving me behind.
