Kevin Durant is one of four Nets players that have tested positive for the coronavirus, he tells Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link). Durant said he is feeling alright.
“Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine. We’re going to get through this,” he said.
It was announced earlier today that four Brooklyn players had tested positive for the virus. The Nets paid out of pocket to a private company to conduct the testing, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports (Twitter link).
The team elected to protect the identity of those players, but Durant was willing to go public with his diagnosis. Brooklyn said that all four affected players are isolated and under the care of team doctors, as our own Luke Adams relayed. Three of the four players aren’t exhibiting symptoms, according to the club — it sounds like KD falls into that group.
The latest news means that the total number of NBA players diagnosed with COVID-19 is up to seven, as the four affected Nets join a list that already included Jazz stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell and Pistons big man Christian Wood.

Last week somebody at another site said it was blown out of proportion because only 100 people have it. Now its hitting 5000. What a difference a week makes

Majority that have the virus won’t die and will be fine.

NBA players are as good a random sample as any for having it, and even that is just a snapshot in time. Maybe they get it earlier or later… no way to know if it’s just a cold and does not have to be reported.
last week only 5 out of every million Americans were tested. this week about 20 in every million. Testing is lagging behind so when somebody says only 5000 they are unrealistic in the real number of infected.
If everyone had a test, the number said to be affected would be much higher. It will go around.

Because someone paid out of pocket to do private testing? You can do the same, call the Nets ask them who they used. See if they do a referral discount.
Do you feel fine? If the answer is yes don’t.go crowding hospitals or doctor offices thinking you’re infected. Waste of time
Do you not feel well? If yes follow up question, do you just feel bad or do you feel like you’re gonna die. If you just feel miserable take some over the counter stuff hydrate and let it pass.
It spreads easy like a cold or flu. With worse results. So you better take this seriously. Get informed and take care. Even if you don’t get sick. You can be a carrier and spread it. Take it serious.
