Seth Curry plans to re-sign with the Warriors on Monday on a deal that will extend for the rest of the 2025-26 season, reports ESPN’s Shams Charania (via Twitter).
After spending training camp with the team, Curry was waived by Golden State in mid-October as the team was making its final roster cuts, mostly because his veteran’s minimum salary couldn’t fit under the team’s second-apron limitations.
It was reported by Marc Stein around that time that there was no doubt that Curry would remain with the team, and that the earliest possible date to bring Curry back would be November 11.
However, waiting a few more days to sign him gave the Warriors a bit more breathing room in regards to the second apron, as his contract is prorated, meaning the fewer games are left in the season, the lower his cap hit.
Curry is an 11-year veteran. He played last season for the Hornets, leading the league in three-point percentage at 45.6% on 182 total attempts. A 6’1″ three-point specialist, he holds lifetime averages of 10.0 points per game on 43.3% shooting from deep and now joins his brother, Stephen Curry, for the first time in their NBA careers.
Playoffs!
